    • Transitions between hard floors and carpet really well
    • I noticed cleaner thick carpets, but no loss in performance on tile or hardwood
    • I mentioned that the 980 is "about" 79 db because when it hits carpet, it automatically increases the power to clean the carpet more thoroughly
    • The switching to power boost for carpet works well for whole rooms or large rugs, but for small mats it often doesn’t switch quickly enough and has already driven off the mat again before the power suction has completely turned on (if at all).I’m quite impressed by the navigation and mapping of this roomba

    • but yes, the 980 does think dark carpet is an edge and no, there wasn't 'any' work around even for 1 story homes without the potential to fall.'Bottom line was that we really really wanted this to work and very disappointed that Roomba does not explicitly advertise the potential for dark carpet edges/areas causing
