iRobot Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum with Wi-Fi Connectivity, Works with Alexa, Ideal for Pet Hair, Carpets, Hard Floors

    • One is terrified of it (she's a classic scaredy cat though), one barely acknowledges its existence and the other two view it as a mild curiosity that they keep their distance from
    • We've named it Robbie and it keeps the cat hair and dust off our new hardwoods, it's excellent.
    • P.S.S. our cat hates the roomba
    • As a bonus it does an excellent job picking up cat hair our regular vacuum cleaner (a Miele canister) did not
    • After I finish vacuuming, it never fails, a cat will drop a chunk of hair.
    • And by the way, if you have pets and you're worried about how they'll react, I'll say that our three cats originally were scared of the Roomba
    • The two other bots do a decent job for everyday cleaning (I own a huge fuzzy ragdoll cat btw), but if heavy duty cleaning is what you're primarily after, get a roomba.2
    • ft of hardwood floors with 2 Golden Retrievers and 2 long haired cats
    • My cats don't bother with it and want nothing to do with it but are not afraid of it either.
    • It does a mediocre job of cleaning cat litter off the bare floor
    • I have a wife and a one year old, as well as 3 cats, and time just slips away as I try to work on college classes and practicing coding as well as a full time software developer job
    • My previous foster cats didn't' have this issue so maybe its about this 1 cat in particular
    • The cat still don't like it too much!
    • We do not have children, and only 1 very lazy cat, we have no clutter and our furniture is limited to what is needed and used, we have a lot of wide open space on our floors so this may be why R2 does such an amazing job
    • Worth every cent, I have 2 cats and you would never know
    • I mostly keep it because it does pick up more, especially pet hair, and my cats aren't afraid of it like they are the Bissell
    • However, when I showed her the cat hair and dirt that the 980 picked up today in 1 pass, even she had to admit that it picked up a LOT
    • So we end up moving her and her home base from section to section - not quite the one-robot-to-clean-them-all that we had hoped for, but still better than the results we had from using our old vacuum.4* instead of 3* because she is doing a great job vacuuming and nudging us to clean up enugh for her to vacuum.4* instead of 5* because we need to move her between with the three sections of our house that are all on the same level, and because we haven't been able to convince either of our cats to ride on it and thus give us opportunities for Funny Cat Videos.
    • It pulls up alot of cat hair and lint and dust every single day so far
    • I live in a small ranch home (836 sq ft) with 100% hardwood floors and the messiest geriatric cat you've ever seen
    • I had to clean it using a big and loud conventional vacuum cleaner, which always scared the cat big time
    • The cats hate it
    • dog hair, cat hair, and miscellaneous human mess is sucked up and gone
    • Most small cat toy like objects don't get ingested unless they have long stringy parts hanging off.
    • One cat in house, useful once or twice a week, with touch up from regular vacuum.
    • The cat doesn't like
    • I guess cleaning from the app is fun if you want to scare your cat from far away.
    • The cats pretty much ignore George, though one seems to follow him around a bit
    • Each time she docks, I clean out her basket and brush off her filter and each time I do it, I am shocked as to how much dust, debris and fur is in the basket!!
    • We have to empty the bin after each cleaning as sometimes there is so much hair/dirt that even in one cleaning, the roomba will stop as the dust bin is full.
    • Love it Does get confused as to home base some times by does great job.
    • I definitely recommend this as long as it's not for excessive dog hair on carpet.
    • The brushes are more advanced and much easier to clean as they are a strips of rubber than traditional brush fibers
    • I have Neck, back & knee hardware that makes it difficult to clean as much as I would like to.
    • He cleans as if it is a new space every day
    • It also cannot clean over black carpet as it thinks its falling off of a cliff
    • It doesn't clean the rug nearly as good as my upright (durr) but it cleans it some
    • We have 5 dogs...keeps the floors clean of dog hair...honestly did not expect it to be as great as it is...set it and forget it (aside from emptying the bin).
    • This promotes reliable navigation both, for returning to point where it quit due to low battery as well as in finding its home dock.
    • not as flexible as I had hoped
    • First day she sucked up a
    • Now it is working up in the children’s room where it works partially as a
    • My husband and I were fascinated as we watched it go from room to room.
    • You don't get the same level of clean as if you vacuumed yourself, but it's close enough
    • In theory great idea but as far as it cleaning when not home so far hasn't worked to well as it gets stuck daily
    • While no robot is perfect, this robot does an overall good job cleaning as it works its way around the floor area
    • Vacuum does an excellent job cleaning a
    • n’t take 6hours to fully clean my 2 bedroom home
    • n’t had the 980 clog like that yet
    • and NOW THEY WON"T RESPOND, because it's
    • n’t want to be blowing this stuff in your house or garage
    • n’t work at all
