It is the best thing to ever happen to this Mama of 3 toddlers

If the D7 were available when I bought my 980, I definitely would have gone with the D7.I'm extremely disappointed in this model primarily because this thing creates more work than it solves

True, Stan doesn't dust or clean countertops, but frankly, the thing that was bothering us the most (every day) was the dirt and hair from our two shedding dogs (golden retriever, border collie) who are in-and-out all the time.

I work some crazy hours and the last thing I want to do is come home and vacuum the house!

The weird thing is that it seems to be learning the layout of our house and is becoming fairly predictable when you turn it loose

We buy these things to clean our floors, and I have found the 980 does a more thorough job on both the carpet and on our hardwood (and tile) floors

It is a fantastic thing to come home to a spotless house

We have two German Shepherds and this does loads to help keep things clean in between regular vacuuming (That doesn't happen as regular as it should)

With enough lighting in the rooms (preferably natural lighting if you like being green) these things are great

Roomba 980 best thing since sliced bread.

She passed out from exhaustion with a depleted battery and a bin that was stuffed to the gills (I later found a setting in the app that allows her to go back to the dock and let me know when she's full rather than to keep going until she was ready to burst, poor thing).So, back up a bit, we have an angel Border Collie (perfect in every way except she drops drifts of hair which can be pretty horrifying in a kitchen with light tile).

The dog completely ignores this Roomba while it's doing its thing - which is pretty impressive because he attacks pretty much any regular vacuum

The only odd thing is, I have a geometric-patterned rug in my home office, and it only cleans each individual square in the design.

I am always surprised at how much crap and hair this thing sucks up on a bi-weekly basis

All I have to do make sure things are picked up (like little kids toys), curtains are lifted off the ground before it cleans, then during I have to empty it once or twice (I have a 3400sq ft house) and have it charge
