I have had 0 issues getting this to work with my Cisco Jabber soft phone, my Cisco IP Communicator, or via Bluetooth to my iPhone 7

I can link it into my Avaya soft phone if needed with the telephone jack, but this limits the 9470's functionality - for VOIP systems it is completely a must have for me at work, giving me the liberty to receive and answer calls while not directly present at my desk giving me a wide range from the base (limited obstructions/interference), place calls on hold, mute the mic, and adjust call volume all from the headset.

It was a fun hour trying to get the setting right so the phone would hang up when I released the call from the headset rather than hang there sideways

Since the headpiece only has one speaker it can occasionally be difficult to hear people but mostly only during conference calls when other are on a terrible speaker phone

The touch screen was also really useful for setting up the phone initially as well, and it all went through without a hitch

These are wireless just like portable phones.

Sure, I can leave the phone on my desk and walk VERY far away from the base station, but I could accomplish the same thing if the head set were paired directly to my mobile and my mobile were in my pocket.

If you aren't going to use a soft phone you can still program the headset to go to the computer to hear audio between calls.
