The Jam kept powering on and off, even if I used the aux cable, so I returned it

my only complaint is that the power on/off noise is SUPER loud.

So, despite the fact that the box was damaged somehow during shipping (the plastic case surrounding the speaker was cracked), AND the super loud obnoxious power on / power off voice, I still give this speaker 5 stars

The power-on, power-off and bluetooth alerts are so ridiculously loud (and bassy!), that they seem to be degrading the speaker

I have fallen asleep during a show and shortly after the show ends, she announces 'powering off'...it abruptly wakes me up with my heart racing

And as others have stated, the "powering on" "ready to pair" "paired" notifications are obnoxiously loud

The volume on the automated voice notifying you that it's powering on, ready to pair and paired has always been WAY TO LOUD, with no way to turn it down
