Overall, great sounding and durable monitors for your home studio.

let me start off by admitting that by all accounts the Yamaha HS8s are "more accurate" studio monitors, and most direct comparisons between the JBL LSR308 and the Yamaha HS8s favor the Yamaha that I've seen

The idea is that if you produce your final product on proper studio monitors, they will give you a real world window into what you can expect it to sound like everywhere else

Excellent monitors.

One online reviewer states that the LSR308's are buzzy, flimsy monitors with thin, badly flexing rear amp plates.

Really, REALLY good monitors.

Overall, these are very excellent studio monitors with big crystal clear sound

the better monitor pair is, I assume $1500/pr Adam A7x are

Ive also had the wonderful opportunity to track in a lot of awesome studios with AMAZING Augspurger monitor systems, even some costing around $300,000.With all of that being said I had to write a review on these little guys after having used them for maybe about 2 years now and these still blow me away

I LOVE these monitors !!!!

You can spend a lot more and get objectively better performance in studio monitors, but if you can't make a decent mix with these, the monitors aren't the problem

Although these JBL's are one of the cheaper monitor speakers on the market, they definitely punch above their level

For the price, these are AMAZING monitors

I purchased these monitors to replace my old 3" ones for better music production/mixing accuracy, and they absolutely blew me away when I first heard them

These are the best monitors I've ever heard for this

Only time will tell if these JBL's outlast my Radio Shack Realistic "monitors", but somehow I doubt it, lol, as I have JBL powered Duets in my kitchen that need to be replaced after every few years

In any event, very happy with these fabulous monitors for music and gaming and have no noise, interference etc

The monitors do have a hiss, (which is un-fixable) but you can only hear it if you are within a foot or two

After the obligatory hours of research through forums, written and video reviews and comparisons, I decided getting cheaper monitors than these wouldn't be worth it, and I couldn't find anything consistently rated better than these anywhere near the price range

Words cannot adequately describe how accurate these monitors reproduce the entire song with separation between each instrument

The bass was a touch muddy prior to setting atop these Adam Hall Monitor Isolation Pads, which I would recommend.

Beautiful sound, my favorite inexpensive monitors by far
