I also purchased the JBL NPATCH BLK Compact Passive Volume Controller (black & red box on desk in the photo) to use as manual volume dial, rather than dealing with the Windows volume slider

I seriously doubt you'll find a better pair of studio monitors for the price, JBL has outdone themselves again

I have a minor in Audio and Technology, and JBL was always a great recommendation, and I have no issues.

P.S. JBL support line is great, even helped me choose a DAC to set up everything with my speakers, and they didnt tell me to buy a JBL DAC either

That makes it all the more tragic JBL screwed these up by using cheap, glossy black plastic for the front fascia

The JBL off my computer/board (192K ripped) via optical to a Schitt Modi 2.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the JBL LSR308's.
