• Reviews around needle (2.01 of 5)

JENSEN JTA-220 3-Speed Turntable with AM/FM Receiver & Stereo Speakers

    • Unlike so many other players this one can have its needle replaced and the only real shortcoming is the built in speakers
    • At first did not seem like the needle would work, a wire was pulled from when we undid the tape
    • The needle is bad so have to wait till I buy another and just bought it
    • Worked great then the needle broke off pretty easily.
    • there is no arm weight so the needle may even scratch your record while playing
    • The only few problems I have are the needle can wear out easily and LP's stick out the sides
    • Bad sound quality and needle
    • Messed up needle
    • Also this unit does require purchasing a special needle for 78 records else you will quickly ruin the standard needle and the 78 records.. plus the 78 needle is required to properly fit the wider grooves to obtain fuller sound.. which this unit is incapable of anyway
    • The needle is pretty
    • The needle that came with this also broke within the first month, so
    • Over all I would recommend this to others and just be careful with it, you wouldn't want to be rough with it and be careful when handling the needle as well!
    • Plays well but arrived with a loose needle
    • Worked great then the needle broke off pretty easily.
    • The record would be wobbly and the needles seems too fragile
    • The needle on this player is very flimsy.
    • These is no way to stop a record except buy turning the power off, which inevitably damages both the needle and the record.3
    • Just don't break the needle.
    • We had trouble with the arm that holds the needle being loose so it was returned for a new one but hasn't been received yet.
    • it is not the right needle for the unit.
    • The radio barely worked, there was no needle in the cartridge so I couldn't try the record functionality (the only reason I purchased the unit) and the front of the radio was cracked on the left side making the whole device seem flimsy and extremely unstable
    • Even searched for better replacement needles and did the "nickel on the arm" trick to try to add weight.
    • needle that comes with it doesnt work, cant get a new needle because the arm is a unique fit
    • good cheap turntable, the reading needle kind of broke off after a short usage of the turn table, but I was able to pop it back in
    • Just keeps spinning and spinning and wearing down the needle and possibly harming your record)
    • much cheaper than a D-battery powered listening station and just as portable
