JENSEN JTA-220 3-Speed Turntable with AM/FM Receiver & Stereo Speakers

    • I loved the design and the speakers sounded decent, but the cheap plastic parts were broken (sealed in the box) and it ruined one of my albums
    • From a distance it looks like a solid player, untill you get closeup and feel its cheap breakable plastic, the radio works fine and good reception thats about the only pro about this
    • The tone arm is flimsy plastic
    • The front looks nice, but it's constructed of mostly light flimsy plastic
    • To add to insult, the "wooden cabinet" that fits with any decor as the original Amazon ad proclaims, it is nothing but a cheap plastic self-glued wood imitation
    • WOULDN'T recommend this to anyone unless you want a cool looking radio, also dont be fooled by the genious retro design its CHEAP plastic, and MOST importantly it wobbles and messes up music sound
    • The stylus is a piece of plastic and when you play 33's on it, the plastic on the stylus hits the record and scratches it, also makes the record not play at the right speed
    • However, the needle is SO cheap (plastic, no metal to it), that it skipped literally every record we put on.
    • I was excited to receive this turntable, 3 days into it the platter starts wobbling effecting the music sound quality, the buttons are cheap flimsy plastic, the speakers are horrible
    • Cons-plastic and wood case
    • As soon as I took this unit out of the box, the clear plastic lid fell off and cracked
    • I'm not concerned about it breaking down on me, but some parts seem a little flimsy/ easily breakable (tone arm plastic seems cheap, the hinges for the dust cover are sorta weird and feel like they may break)
    • the company only sells that crap plastic stylist
    • In addition, it has pretty crappy plastic and particle board construction that will not stand up to any trauma at all
    • It is sometimes hard to keep this open, as it's only attached by two cheap plastic knobs
    • Now, one year later, the player works just as well as when we first used it on day one
    • However, would only recommend for adults as we've gone through 2 units due to a preschooler pulling on the arm, which is not durable
    • I think it had to break in for the first couple of plays because it would drag a
    • the stereo back in place as it immediately fell off
    • Of course, you aren't shopping for the cheapest record player on Amazon if you want something that's top-of-the-line, but I think any consumer expects even an inexpensive product to be functional, at least to work as it is intended right out of the box.
    • I also have to mention the horrible sound!I don`t recommend this purchase
