JENSEN JTA-220 3-Speed Turntable with AM/FM Receiver & Stereo Speakers

    • The turntable is an excellent value - so easy to use right out of the box, and the internal speakers are very good for the price.
    • Internal speakers aren't the greatest, but for the this sterling price you cannot go wrong!
    • Also has a radio which is a nice feature, speakers are pretty good
    • the speakers work so good
    • The sound quality is to low and the internal amp cant power any speakers worth hooking up
    • Speacker are a little weak on their own, but can easily be hooked up to better speakers.
    • Basically, any old, decent, speaker you have lying around will give you pretty good mono sound.
    • For an inexpensive model the sound is awesome.. hooked up with a nice speaker/bass system thru the headphone jack
    • The built in speakers work great and external speakers can be easily added
    • I took a chance on this, having some cool old school speakers already and it works perfect for me
    • The speakers work pretty well, and I love that it's a 3-speed player
    • The speakers work pretty well, and I love that it's a 3-speed player
    • The speakers on the player itself are pretty poor but for the price you shouldnt accept much
    • If you don't like the smaller speakers, there's always room for extensions
    • but it doesnt hurt to attach some nicer speakers either
    • My only critique is that the internal speakers are not the greatest, but that does not detract from my overall rating
    • Basic turnatable to revive my small lp connection I will test with some good speakers and let you know
    • It has a good sound, the internal speakers are just enough to give a nice listening pleasure
    • can hook up external speakers and disable the built-in speakersFree 45 adapter ringLight weight3.5mm jack for headphones or a line outIt doesn't have a problem with playing warped records*ConsPlasticNo spring to retract arm after the record finishes
    • Make sure you have external speakers ready to hook into the aux, i found it had the best sound output
    • The internal speakers sounded pretty bad, but I expected that of the cheap player and hooked it up to external speakers.
    • It has built in speakers sounds good , only problem I have is the top
    • The internal speakers are terrible, but we hooked them up to some powerful pioneer speakers and it shakes the house and sounds great
    • Sadly the onboard speakers really suck, thankfully my husband had some speakers
    • Even if you connect it to better external speakers.
    • The speakers are not loud nor do they have alot of bass but great for casual listening.
    • I didn't expect excellent sound quality, although I haven't yet hitched it up to better speakers
    • While it includes the ability to hook up to external speakers (something I haven't tried to this point) the internal speakers are great
    • I got one and had to return it because all the right speaker would do was crackle with fuzz even when I plugged it into expensive external speakers
    • The internal speakers, in all honesty, are terrible
    • Then a week later it started making funny noises and the speakers stopped working
    • I would recommend external speakers or earphones if listening direct.
    • The speakers sound good for their size and the player itself is compact for easy placement on a shelf or side table.
    • I got one and had to return it because all the right speaker would do was crackle with fuzz even when I plugged it into expensive external speakers
    • The internal speakers are good for the price, but I did hook up new ones that were louder
    • But I'm not really an audiophile, and I'm guessing that when I put this through some decent speakers it'll sounds
    • but I would stronly recomend external speakers for beter sound quality.
    • Also, don't expect it to have deep rich sound like gigantic expensive speakers.
    • A lot of the negative reviews are people with unrealistic expectations, or probably plugging them into bad speakers to start..... nothing you do is going to make bad speakers sound
    • Compact, internal speakers are of quality, looks nice
    • The internal speakers are amazing, but you can attach external speakers via the stereo out on the back or the headphone jack in front
    • The external speakers are good and loud, but I chose to hook it up to the stereo.
    • The internal speakers are certainly loud enough, but not surprisingly sound pretty crappy
    • The speakers aren't gonna blow you
    • If you just want to look cool and hipster though, and never play a record, or just use the built in crappy speakers to show off how cool you are, then this will work great.
    • Great sound from classic Jensen speakers
    • The internal speakers aren't great for volume, but there are connections on the back to hook up your own speakers.
    • I have it hooked via auxiliary port to my good speakers
    • The speakers aren't half bad - they do their job, and you can always attach the record player to better quality speakers through an amplifier
    • The speakers while adequately loud lacked any bass whatsoever and there is no tone or pitch adjustment
    • At first, I thought that the speakers were horrible - I could hardly hear anything and the volume knob didn't seem to be doing anything.
    • It is a great basic record player and the internal speakers sound pretty good
    • The speakers could be a little better, but if you're looking for an inexpensive starter turntable or if you only intend to use it occasionally, this is a good option.
    • I purchased this from someone second hand, they said the speakers were fine for them but when I got it home to try I was SADLY disappointed with the poor quality speakers
    • Internal speakers were not bad but it is better to hook externals up to it
    • , speakers aren't real powerful, but work perfectly fine for listening to an old record, plus you can plugexternal speakers into it….
    • I was excited to receive this turntable, 3 days into it the platter starts wobbling effecting the music sound quality, the buttons are cheap flimsy plastic, the speakers are horrible
    • Plug and play!Built-in speaker loud enough for a room, big buttons, few buttons, plug in the wall and voilà
    • but if you like that old 80's speakers than go for it
    • The little speakers sound good and I can plug in some old speakers I still have and it powers them.
    • This record player is a piece of crap starting from the cheap tinny sounding speakers to the most important part of a record player - the stylus
    • The internal speakers are terrible, but we hooked them up to some powerful pioneer speakers and it shakes the house and sounds great
    • The radio works great, and the speakers are wonderful
    • The internal speakers on turntables are never loud enough for me, so hooked it up thru a 120 watt amp with polk audio speakers.
    • I liked the compact and internal speaker setup, but if the listening experience is jeopardized by the motor failing that quickly after purchasing then I can't recommend this to anyone.
    • Before buying my record player I had read reviews that said the internal speakers were bad and that it is impossible to hear
    • I'm hoping it does the job for a little while till I hook up proper speakers to it.
    • Though I couldn't compare sound quality the Crosley CR6017A (http://www.amazon.com/Crosley-CR6017A-MA-Turntable-Portable-Mahogany/dp/B00BMFYYO0) sounds great especially when you add some decent external speakers, keeping in mind the Crosley cost about $20-$30 dollars more
    • But the internal speakers sound very good and there were no problems at
    • My auxiliary speakers don't work as I have plug-ins and turntable doesn't have any place to plug them in
    • Works well, the speakers are not bad but not the best either.
    • kinda cheap-internal speakers sound like cheap boombox-minimal turntable controls
    • The internal speakers at anything but the lowest volume are pretty bad.
    • I'm going to get some cheap external speakers from the thrift store, and this turntable should be good to go
    • Attaching some nicer speakers is quite helpful, but no matter what you do you aren't going to get a lot of volume out of it
    • The sound quality from it's own speakers might not be the best, but you can hook up some cheap desktop speakers, and it should work fine
    • The speakers that come with it are not great, but you can plug in head phones or attach good speakers
    • but if you flip the switch in the back to headphones and plug in some nice speakers this thing bumps
    • I purchased this from someone second hand, they said the speakers were fine for them but when I got it home to try I was SADLY disappointed with the poor quality speakers
    • The equipment was flimsy and the speakers were crap
    • The own speaker is very good to that price point
    • The speakers are plenty loud enough for me to play a record in my living room and hear it in my kitchen
    • Since other reviewers suggested connecting external speakers, I tried that too and the sound quality was still awful, even with good speakers it sound cheap and has no bass or tone adjustments
    • My issue is that even with a pair of vintage wooden speakers in place instead of the truly awful onboard speakers, the sound is tinny and just bad enough for me to not be able to deal with it
    • Does what it says, speakers will make it even great! in built speakers not very loud but will do the job!
    • The next day we turn it on and it sounds like the speaker is blown
    • I had been warned but the speakers are awful and you can only keep the volume at a low level to avoid it all bashing together
    • The speakers and sound are great
    • The next day we turn it on and it sounds like the speaker is blown
    • The speakers while adequately loud lacked any bass whatsoever and there is no tone or pitch adjustment
    • The speakers are loud enough and you can even plug in external speakers
    • Everything works great and the speakers sound fine to my ears
    • The speakers are weak but the player itself has ports to plug in other stereo speakers
    • I purchased this from someone second hand, they said the speakers were fine for them but when I got it home to try I was SADLY disappointed with the poor quality speakers
    • I used a nice PC speaker set up through the output to get better sound and was jamming away
    • The sound quality from it's own speakers might not be the best, but you can hook up some cheap desktop speakers, and it should work fine
    • and I didn't think that the speakers gave that great of sound, but headphone sound is good
    • It workes perfectly, the built-in speakers are not the greatest, but there are jacks where you can plug in better speakers
    • Also the internal speakers are not fantastic, but you can plug in other speakers easily and there is a toggle switch that allows you to turn the internal speakers on or off.
    • Unfortunately, the speakers were super
    • kinda cheap-internal speakers sound like cheap boombox-minimal turntable controls
    • Even the speakers work ok
    • Works well, the speakers are not bad but not the best either.
    • The speakers are great
    • I then hooked up some speakers I had to the external jacks and improved it greatly
    • Great beginner turntable, the onboard speakers sound pretty decent for a built in,
    • The speakers work great and it fits perfectly under my bed in my college dorm.
    • These 2 little speakers get loud
    • I loved the design and the speakers sounded decent, but the cheap plastic parts were broken (sealed in the box) and it ruined one of my albums
    • internal speakers is cool
    • Purchased this for my 18 year old son and he hooked up a portable speaker to it and plays it everyday.
    • The speakers aren't great, had to buy separate speakers 2 weeks later
    • Now, one year later, the player works just as well as when we first used it on day one
    • However, would only recommend for adults as we've gone through 2 units due to a preschooler pulling on the arm, which is not durable
    • I think it had to break in for the first couple of plays because it would drag a
    • the stereo back in place as it immediately fell off
    • Of course, you aren't shopping for the cheapest record player on Amazon if you want something that's top-of-the-line, but I think any consumer expects even an inexpensive product to be functional, at least to work as it is intended right out of the box.
