It could certainly use a better needle

But, being a beginner with record players, I broke the "needle" about 10 minutes after opening the box.

Against my better judgement I decided to purchase this record player despite all the reviews claiming the needle is defective and makes the records skip

The records wobble around, the needle is horrible

All I had to do was unpack it from the box, remove the tape that held some of the parts down for shipping, remove the plastic cap that protects the needle, plug it in - and play it!

The needle is a bit cheap so not a lot of bass response if any at all

The reference number for the LP and 45 needle is 793-D7M, and for 78 RPM it's the 793-S3
