I am greatly impressed by this turntable and feel is was the best value for what I spent

but as of right now not happy anyone else have this problem

It does come with a 45 adapter (if anyone is wondering).FYI on the tonearm - while the auto shut off is a great feature, some records play longer than others, so you have to turn off the auto shut-off feature so longer playing records will play to the end - otherwise, if you leave the auto shut-off on, the record may stop playing shortly before it's to the end of the record

Against my better judgement I decided to purchase this record player despite all the reviews claiming the needle is defective and makes the records skip

Needle broke a few weeks after we bought it, but i'm convinced it was my roommate's lack of dexterity

The MP3s encoded from the record player are at 128Kbps, and I don't see any options to change that, and the volume is very low (you can boost it on your PC after, but then you get a horrendous background noise) so the best bet seems to be to use the RCA jacks again to output the audio to your PC and then record using Audacity or the like at whatever bitrate and format you want

The record played at a very low, bass-filled level, and became loud incomprehensible noise at particularly deep parts of songs
