Although it has a cheap plastic look, and the sound quality of the built-in speakers are poor, the price is reasonable and nicer speakers can be hooked up to it.

Mine came without a needle, the "stylus" was a cheap plastic

All I had to do was unpack it from the box, remove the tape that held some of the parts down for shipping, remove the plastic cap that protects the needle, plug it in - and play it!
