I can't even describe how much I love this little record player

You made a good gift for a brother that really likes the old style records

I like the adjustable bass and treble controls

Soundwise, it's got plenty of highs to spare(can distort easily), no mids, and not enough bass, you will need to use the tone adjustments to balance, and I did go out and buy some bookshelf speakers to hook up to get full range and more bass, still recommend getting active speakers with tone adjustments, you'll always be fighting the extra fuzzy highs from most vinyl anyway

The Bluetooth works without problem

It was odd, 'cause only the Bluetooth worked and tech support wasn't very helpful at trying to find the issue

The turntable is nice, the instructions are not well written and require some intuition to make the record player sound work

Note that the specific issue I had was connecting the turntable to a Bose SoundLink speaker.

My buddy has a really nice turntable and played the ones that were skipping and they were fine on his but not mine

Knowing it was an entry-level turntable to enjoy as I begin building my collection, it fit the needs until 1.5 months after receiving it, the left speaker completely went out, so the sound is awful

The sound isn't fantastic but you can hook it up super easily to external speakers

Here's the facts, I've had it for a month, I think mechanically it performs well, it's played records I own from original 70s and 80s vinyl to modern mint reissues, and warped records without skips or bad pitch modulation

Be wary of this product: it is not meant to be a long term turntable as it can ruin records over time due to their not being an automatic tracking system
