Speaker is no very good and one just can't plug in an external speaker.

The speakers could be a little better, but for the price it is great.

For those who have a decent home entertainment system with better speakers, hook it up and enjoy the audio there

Not bad for the price but the speaker isn't very good and it isn't that loud

It does play records well and is made well enough, but the speakers are POOR.

The shame of it is that the internal speakers on the unit are actually pretty good -- the AM/FM tuner sounds just fine

If the speakers were louder/more dynamic in sound I would have given up the extra star (but they are merely adequate and functional)

Small speakers, they do not sound very good, an amplifier and external speakers are required to obtain good sound.

I have not tried to hook it up to my surround sound, yet, but the speakers on the unit are sufficient for listening outside on the deck or around the house.

My only flaw i have with this system is the speakers.

but if you don't like the speakers you can plug it into a receiver or an iHome because it has an aux jack in the front

I figured I could live with unplugging the machine after each use, but within a couple of weeks the speakers started failing and making these horrible popping sounds.

My phone has a better speaker than this turntable does

I got some inexpensive Logitech speakers, and it become the perfect setup

But why did they even bother installing speakers?

It plays records, it has (surprisingly decent) speakers, it has an output jack you can easily plug into speakers you already own, and AM/FM radio

I like the integrated speakers , Radio and USB port.

I connect the output to a speaker system that improves the sound quality

While the built-in speakers work ok, the music sounds much better when hooked up to better speakers.

No problem w/internal speakers - they sound fine

After looking into an array of vinyl players I found that the majority of them lack an Aux output and are not "self powered" like this unit which contains its own speaker system(the speakers are decent, but obviously you want to hook this up to some real speakers anyway).

Although it has a cheap plastic look, and the sound quality of the built-in speakers are poor, the price is reasonable and nicer speakers can be hooked up to it.

The sound quality is some what low,hooked up a 50 watt portable speaker that i had for other devices through headphone jack or can use the audio line out jacks behind turntable and volume is awsome now

If you are using this product in a small room, the speakers would be fine but in a large room like my living room, you can barely hear them unless you turn up the volume

Seemed like a great idea, speakers didn't work at first, then did, but there was an electrical hum even when the machine was turned off, had to unplug it when not in use, ended up throwing the thing out in the trash, didn't want fire.
