Jensen JTA-460 3-Speed Stereo Turntable with MP3 Encoding System and AM/FM Stereo Radio (Black)

    • Speaker is no very good and one just can't plug in an external speaker.
    • The speakers could be a little better, but for the price it is great.
    • The speakers are decent
    • For those who have a decent home entertainment system with better speakers, hook it up and enjoy the audio there
    • Not bad for the price but the speaker isn't very good and it isn't that loud
    • It does play records well and is made well enough, but the speakers are POOR.
    • The shame of it is that the internal speakers on the unit are actually pretty good -- the AM/FM tuner sounds just fine
    • If the speakers were louder/more dynamic in sound I would have given up the extra star (but they are merely adequate and functional)
    • Small speakers, they do not sound very good, an amplifier and external speakers are required to obtain good sound.
    • I have not tried to hook it up to my surround sound, yet, but the speakers on the unit are sufficient for listening outside on the deck or around the house.
    • I will second that the speakers are surprisingly good (not great) for the size of the unit, and the radio functions
    • My only flaw i have with this system is the speakers.
    • but if you don't like the speakers you can plug it into a receiver or an iHome because it has an aux jack in the front
    • I figured I could live with unplugging the machine after each use, but within a couple of weeks the speakers started failing and making these horrible popping sounds.
    • My phone has a better speaker than this turntable does
    • I wish the eternal speaker was louder, but works great if you run the audio through another source
    • The internal speakers are not very loud but there ports for external speakers to be plugged in
    • The speakers are loud enough for a medium-large room
    • The speakers are not to loud but you are able to add speakers
    • The speakers work fine, though the sounds seems a little flat without more bass.
    • I wish the eternal speaker was louder, but works great if you run the audio through another source
    • The speakers it comes with sound like am radio
    • The internal speakers were crap!
    • I expected "cheap" speakers, but not this bad
    • It plays wonderful and the speakers work well for being so small.
    • Sounds a lot better when you hook up better speakers with amp.
    • I especially love the speakers on the sides, they sound great
    • I got some inexpensive Logitech speakers, and it become the perfect setup
    • But why did they even bother installing speakers?
    • It plays records, it has (surprisingly decent) speakers, it has an output jack you can easily plug into speakers you already own, and AM/FM radio
    • The speakers broke with-in a week!
    • I like the integrated speakers , Radio and USB port.
    • I connect the output to a speaker system that improves the sound quality
    • While the built-in speakers work ok, the music sounds much better when hooked up to better speakers.
    • The Jensen to me has great speakers
    • The internal speakers are worse than what other reviewers have made them out to be
    • I will second that the speakers are surprisingly good (not great) for the size of the unit, and the radio functions
    • The internal speakers are pretty nice for a portable sound
    • No problem w/internal speakers - they sound fine
    • After looking into an array of vinyl players I found that the majority of them lack an Aux output and are not "self powered" like this unit which contains its own speaker system(the speakers are decent, but obviously you want to hook this up to some real speakers anyway).
    • The speaker quality when it worked was outstanding for a unit of its size
    • Works great speakers are kind of quite but all around a good buy if you want to listen to some vinal
    • The speakers work great when you are listening to it in the same room
    • The internal speakers stopped working after 1 day
    • Although it has a cheap plastic look, and the sound quality of the built-in speakers are poor, the price is reasonable and nicer speakers can be hooked up to it.
    • The sound quality is some what low, hooked up a 50 watt portable speaker that i had for other devices through headphone jack or can use the audio line out jacks behind turntable and volume is awsome now
    • The internal speakers are not loud and are poor quality, but it is east to hook up an external pair.
    • If you are using this product in a small room, the speakers would be fine but in a large room like my living room, you can barely hear them unless you turn up the volume
    • Had a hell of a time finding a speaker system that would work with this unit
    • the internal speakers are garbage (no surprise there, you'll need better speakers) and the sound you get from the record player is thin and nasally
    • Seemed like a great idea, speakers didn't work at first, then did, but there was an electrical hum even when the machine was turned off, had to unplug it when not in use, ended up throwing the thing out in the trash, didn't want fire.
    • The speakers sound fine to
    • The little speaker sounds pretty damn good too
    • Anyone says that the speakers are good is not telling the truth.
    • I would advise anyone purchasing this to get a top of the line amplified speaker set with bass/treble adjustments.. cheap speakers will sound bad.
    • They are not the loudest speakers, but plenty loud for me
    • The speakers sound terrible at high volume, like a baby alarm clock radio
    • Loads easily to iTunes and allows you to rename the tracks as you wish.- My only negative - which others have also commented on - is the speakers.

    • The external speaker sounds fine (not super amazing, but it doesn't sound like a tin can either)

    • The internal speakers are not that great, but they will suffice
    • Ha e recommended it to friends.
    • but as of right now not happy anyone else have this problem
    • Everything works as it should and the sound quality is pretty nice from the internal speakers
