Daughter loved it and the size was perfect for space saving
I have 2 other turntables that are 4 times more money ..but this sound more like I remember music sounded like.. its just the right size to take it with me
My elderly mother has tons of old vinyl albums, and this little stereo is the perfect size for her bedside table.
I like the size of the unit and speakers, just wish sound was better.
It's the perfect size and the sound quality is really good
and I appreciate that it has a cover - my more pricey turntable does not!
This turntable is honestly a great bargain for what it is
This is a decent initial turntable, no doubt about that
If you just want a cheap turntable this one is okay, but if you have more than a few records and care about the sound quality of them, I would just get a slightly better turntable.
It's good enough to hold me over until I can afford a better turntable
I like that it has the plastic cover it protect it a little bit more from dust.
Instead of a flat surface for the record, it rests on 3 stationary plastic (rubber-like) rounded feet, so the record should not be left on the turntable for long periods when not in use.
This record player recommended by Amazon isn't too great of quality, it feels like a cheap plastic model that has a few structure issues
That fact alone was enough to return it combined with the fact that you cannot adjust the tonearm in any way, and the body is cheap plastic
Has a small, weight for balancing, but would recommend buying a separate one as its only plastic
It's not crazy loud or gives amazing bass but what turntable speaker does
I have to say that I would highly recommend this turntable if you have records that you want to listen to as well as if you'd like to preserve your old records and even listen to them on your modern devices.
The cover is convenient considering everything will still work as it's supposed to even if the cover is closed
Worked well enough initially, though I immediately noticed that the sound was tinny and lacking bass even on my Klipsch Pro Medias
Any bass, regardless of the volume comes out distorted on the internal speaker.
Sounds scratchy, crazy static, and doesn't spin records straight.
I have been waiting for a new record player, and I was so stoked to have this...showed up, put a new record on and it has this awful static
I don't like the fact that once the album stops it's just plays really loud static until you either flip the album over or turn it off
I have to say that I would highly recommend this turntable if you have records that you want to listen to as well as if you'd like to preserve your old records and even listen to them on your modern devices.
You will always have loud static coming from the speakers no matter what, and the overall audio quality is worse than that of the newest iPod touch with $5 headphones
If there's anything negative I could say about this, it would only be the tone arm not being automatic so for someone who has a jittery hand, you may struggle a little bit.
Only issue is for those that like to follow instructions; they are a bit strange, and outdated
Speaker not as powerful as I assumed
I have my own with a sound bar just because I am a bit more picky with the speakers, but this honestly doesn't sound bad.
I personally wish it was a bit louder, but for $30 it is a great value.
I read alot of reviews before I bought a turntable and gave this one the benefit of the doubt despite being warned about the volume issue
Let me start with the "pros":+Cheap+Built in speakers+Volume/Tone adjustmentCons:-Small-Volume issues (explained further in review)-No weight on needle, causes skips-Abysmal speaker
As for the volume issue, it honestly is not that big of a deal
You are reading snippets from reviews of Jensen JTA-230 3 Speed Stereo Turntable with Built in Speakers, Aux in, Vinyl to MP3 Converting/Encoding
The motor is kind of noisy but it doesn't interfere with the sound coming from the speakers, but since it has a ceramic cartridge (not upgrade-able) it lacks lower frequencies
The motor seems a bit irregular and in some cases I can hear minor pitch shifts that are over very soon
It's not like I had heavy R&B playing or anything, I'm talking about the bass in Miles Davis or Coltrane.
Also the motor can be finicky, especially when the auto-stop feature is on
I knew in buying a less expensive model, I shouldn't expect super high-quality sound, but decided to give this a whirl considering the positive reviews and best-selling status
The dust cover could be a little bigger to cover the whole disc, but this is an understandable quality, seeing as this is supposed to be a more or less portable model.
This record player recommended by Amazon isn't too great of quality, it feels like a cheap plastic model that has a few structure issues
I've heard other cheaper models that friends have and honestly, this one blows them away
Works sounds okay, and was way more reliable than more expensive models out there.
