What a cool thing for guitar players.

These things are so cheap, I'm contemplating making a pedal board with 10 of these .

I was not able to afford an Ibanez at that time, and since people had a lot of good things to say about this pedal, I decided to give it a try

The thing sounds great with a tube amp, and offers an array of sounds that can be heard just by tweaking the pedal

The only thing is that the volume knob is very sensitive; this thing can get LOUD with just a small movement

So this thing is pretty cool for the money

I’d heard a lot of good things about the Joyo and the Fulltone

This thing can work on a spectrum from just a booster to a distorted overdrive

The best thing about it is the built in light that blinks with the speed chosen

These things are amazing

This thing not only sounds great for its extremely cheap price, but is extremely durable.

The great thing about the JOYO pedals is you can buy 4-6 for the same price of one boutique pedal

I think my favorite thing is that it covers so much of the tonal palette.

It just makes things sound solid.

This thing simply didn't work right out of the box

The thing easily and quickly broke

Not a huge complaint, but... with single coils this thing gets a little noisy when you aren't actively playing.

This thing sounds great

I've heard great things about other Joyo products, however.

But this thing has quite a bit more gain than a TS808, and seems to give you much more low end than the TS808

This thing is great if you want to produce a good amp sound through a recording console or a PA without having to crank an amp to eleven.

I wish the phase went a little wider, but for $30, this thing is killer

Some things are worth paying for

But if your looking for a mid ground between overdrive and distortion this thing is a amazing

Other than that, this thing is PERFECT.

The character of the distortion sounded very similar to the gain channel of my Blackstar HT Club 40, but it was brighter and not as thick and full sounding, which could be a good thing

I'm very surprised how good this thing sounds

There probably is little more gain available on this pedal with that knob cranked full, which isn't a bad thing.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and it's certainly better than having no headroom to set the pedal louder (a frequent criticism of the BOSS DS-1), but it's something to be aware of

So yeah, this thing is awesome.

The only bad thing about the Ultimate Drive is the graphic depiction of the Japanese Oni demon on the top of it

Maybe I was lucky but this thing is great for the price.

CONsThe only negative thing is that the hard foam underneath you cannot stick anything to, so my pedalboard velcro would not stick

as I'm figuring out my tone I found I needed a bit more in my pre-amp chain... and this thing is awesome

It's similar sound to my amp's distortion but with a bit different EQ, which is a good thing as I like tube distortion not gainy grit

I was skeptical buying a pedal in this price range but let me tell you..... this thing is fantastic

This thing sounds amazing- except for one small problem: At higher gain settings it hisses like a mother

the silly thing still had it's cellophane wrapper

At the full CCW attack position, you'll hear it really clamping the attack and smoothing things out, even to the point of sounding muffled

Sometimes you get too much of a good thing

All of the time a roll back on the guitar's volume will clean things up nicely

The analog delay is amazing and the other controls are great for making strange things

I love this thing

It's musical, responsive, spongy, all of those nice things

but this thing sounds great.

The only negative thing I could say about it is the overdrive buzz/hiss

This thing, on first impressions, is a total bargain and a well deserved 5 star pedal

The touch-feel thing is of course more prominent in the lower drive settings

In my opinion, this thing is well worth the price

One thing though, the button is pretty stiff so if you're sitting down to play you kinda need to stomp hard

- I'm not sure how this thing is available at the price it is.

I plan on purchasing an actual OCD sometime in the future, but until then I'm going to give this thing hell

But still has enough midrange to keep things complex, full, and cut through the mix.

That being said, this thing sounds twice as good and has this dreamy smooth sound if you run your guitar signal through an EP booster like the Xotic EP Booster before you plug into this thing.

Hmmmmm.... not such a bad thing I suppose,

I use it as both a boost in my peavey triple X combo in the ultra channel, tighten things up real nice, I feel it retains more low end than boosting with a tube screamer, so great for that "Djent" tone

At this extremely affordable price it's hard to pass by such a great petal billed as an OCD clone this pedal does not sound quite as good as the Fulltone petal but is extremely usable and excellent sounding t in my opinion

(as you turn it clock wise) - I like it for adding charcater/punch to my live
