I felt the edges, and they were as sharp as knives, so no wonder

They cut through multiple layers of thick fabric easily and slice like a hot knife through butter on delicate fabrics my old Gingher scissors would have chewed their way through

The weight and balance is perfect and make it easy to use.

I cannot say enough about these shears they are a perfect weight, length, and hand grip.

Personally I prefer the lighter weight, and if I had it to do again I would buy the 8" and not the 9", but that is purely subjective, depending on how you want to use them, and what feels better in your hand.
