This is his first ukulele, and we were looking for a soprano ukulele with a nice sound and build quality, but that wouldn't break the bank
The ukulele has a nice sound once tuned, although upgrading the strings might improve it
It has a great sound and I like the concert size because it's larger than the soprano making it easier to make chords.
Plays nicely not too high or low and the sound is rich and mellow

It has a decent tone, and it came with Aquila Super Nylgut strings already attached
I like my Makala MK-T, but recommend you buy strings to replace the ones that are on it.
These new strings gave the Uke a wonderful tone, and easier to play
The tone of the instrument is impressive and I love the fact that the tuner is included.

The electronic tuner that comes in this bundle has been a godsend because the instrument does go out of tune rather quickly...that might be the only negative so far: The strings are not highest quality, so you really need to tune and re-tune often
Tuner works well but the complaint I have is that the so_called gear_lux bag is nothing but an in padded cheapie that just barely fits the uke
Tuner is slightly confusing to use at first but directions explain well
This is not the tuner that I would have chosen but it works and has served well so far
The tuner works really well, and my 7yr old was able to figure it out the first time using it.
