Kala UBASS-SSMHG-FS Solid Spruce Top Mahogany U-Bass Fretted

    • This peticular Spruce Top geetar just was the loudest tuneful one of the bunch including a second Solid Spruce Model which gets me to the Fretted vs Non fretted
    • Then the Spruce top, and then the all Solid Mahogony & up from there
    • I played the Solid Mahogony one a Rumbler and 2 of the Solid Spruce Top ones all in the same day
    • Just darker sounding than either of the Solid Spruce top models I played
    • My Kala is Solid Spruce top and laminate back & sides
    • One minor disappointment for me is, apparently, this hollow body U-bass is not compatible with my Line 6 Relay wireless system
    • The only negative is that the pickup isn’t working evenly across all 4 strings - the low E is definitely quieter than the rest
    • First week using it at the JEMS My Hermon Family retreat, it was hard to dial in through my Hartke HA1200 KickBack12 the Low E was weak as was the G com, pared to the A & D strings
