Kayak Hoist – Overhead Pulley System with 125 lb Capacity for Kayak, Canoe, Bike, or Ladder Storage by Rad Sportz

    • We are a bit nervous because the nylon rope it came with seems like it was fraying right out of the bag
    • This is a good product but hoisting 125 pounds is a bit tough.
    • The directions are a bit hard to follow and I think if they did not instruct to cut the rope in two parts before they are threaded thru the pulleys the rope would be closer.
    • Instructions are a bit difficult to understand how rope needs to run through pulleys, but once that part is done, it works like a charm
    • The manufacturer could do a bit of work on the break, but it works fine.
    • A bit tricky pulling up and letting down due to the length but a little practice and figure it out easy enough
    • The belts tend to slip to the bow/stern and the lock for the rope is a bit sticky and difficult
    • Also it’s a bit difficult to hoist anything when the ropes are pushed to the side by the kayak
    • Instructions are a bit difficult to understand how rope needs to run through pulleys, but once that part is done, it works like a charm
    • the lock is a bit hard to use, especially if the kayak is wide, but that's a nitpick rather than a deal breaker.
    • solid build; cams are a bit difficult to disengagebut overall a great rig
    • I was a bit hesitant about buying
    • Time will tell but since the rope is a critical component that is holding the watercraft up 5-6 feet in the air, I'd of thought they might use a bit better quality cord
    • The brake works great but what is a bit difficult is when you need to hoist a heavy kayak you need to pull a bit to the side, so I was worried about the torque on the pulley mount.
    • n’t break the lock
    • Works well holds ascend fs128t with gear no problem!
