Kayak Hoist – Overhead Pulley System with 125 lb Capacity for Kayak, Canoe, Bike, or Ladder Storage by Rad Sportz

    • Bolt broke off when attempting to put it in a beam
    • Also upgraded to lag bolts to a better quality nickel 1/4" and added washers
    • Lag bolts ok, bolts and nuts for mounting top pulleys really strong, but the connection to hooks from lower pulleys seems weak by comparison
    • The instructions show a proper bolt, with threads only on the end, and a smooth surface where the rope is knotted to it.
    • Mounting went pretty easy and then the mounting bolts broke and my kayak crashed to ground
    • The bolts they provide to attatch their device to the wood 2x4 broke
    • I hung my kayak across my joists, so I lag-bolted a 1x4 to the ceiling, then hung this on the 1x4.
    • The hardware for the place to wrap up the cord were weak both twisted off during installation they didn’t include lag bolts to mount the board for liftThe overall price and its use for kayak was greatWas expecting it to go higher but am satisfied with it over all
    • I used some better quality bolts and screws from the hardware store and haven't had any issues with the rest of the system.
    • Needs stronger, anchor bolts.
    • Depending on where you are going to put this, you will likely need to mount this on a 2x4 that you will need to lag bolt (these aren't included in the box) into your joists.
    • I didnt trust the hardware (bolts and screws) and the Rope included, so I replaced them
    • The bolts keep snapping in half, now o ha e bolts broken off in the
    • , rope is good (but not long enough) , hardware (lag screws, bolts and lock nuts) good
    • I have enough screws and bolts holding it up to support a small elephant, but I am concerned about the weak link - the hangers
    • the most important lag bolt will be the one nearest the brake
    • Very cheap bolts
    • I attached the pulleys to a 2 x 4 and lag-bolted to studs
    • I also broke a few bolts by tightening too much into the ceiling, but a quick trip to the Depot for some replacements at $0.32 each put me back in business
    • Great Hoist but one of the boxes was missing all the bolts nuts and screws
    • I only tried 2 of 4 before I decided to use my own stronger bolts instead
    • Install the nyloc nut to secure the eye bolt
    • n’t break the lock
    • Works well holds ascend fs128t with gear no problem!
