Kayak Hoist – Overhead Pulley System with 125 lb Capacity for Kayak, Canoe, Bike, or Ladder Storage by Rad Sportz

    • After some head scratching (and even more cussing) it turns out the brake mechanism wasn’t bent enough when it was stamped out
    • As I was tighening them down , the heads broke off
    • Those screw provided were very poor quality, heads broke off.
    • The head broke off on and the other stripped very easily
    • and if i lose 14" for pulleys, hooks and mounting board another 16 " for the kayak depth, I am almost bumping my head on my kayak.
    • As I was threading them into the studs to secure the cleat, the heads twisted off and I was using a manual screwdriver - not a powered one.
    • That may get me enough head room to move around.
    • works as it was advertised
    • Only 4 stars as the company shouldn't include any lag screws and should require the purchaser to buy the appropriate rated screws for mounting as the included screws for my application were too short and some were very poor quality as they broke.
    • This thing is as great as it is simple.
    • A little tricky to orient and run the rope but works as it should.
