This is a very handy hoist

I have two kayaks hanging from the cheap bike hoists, and they work, but I needed a hoist for a much heavier canoe.

I modified this hoist for a 28' aluminum/fiberglass ladder and it works perfectly, especially for the price

Whom ever is marketing this product needs to expand to paddle boards, because it works!I have hoists for my mountain bikes and a 16' ladder and have enjoyed having my garage clutter free.

Just finished installing hoist to support a 100 pound tandem kayak.

Then to be 100% comfortable, I added to 1/32 cable with quick release at the bottom for easy removal as a fail safe IF the hoist were to fail

Unfortunately, my hoist just suffered a catastrophic failure, and it turns out that the "100 unconditional lifetime warranty" isn't a 100% unconditional lifetime warranty

I mounted a 2x4 to hang the hoist from, using 3 1/2 inch heavy duty screws

This kayak hoist well designed

My garage trusses are ten feet above floor, and this hoist gets the kayak clear up iout of tghe way.

I like the hoist but changed its purpose from hoisting a 110lb saw to hanging a wheel barrow.

Notes: It MUST be attached through the ceiling to a strong beam(s), so accurately locating that beam is essential
