• Reviews around camera (2.77 of 5)

Kingdom Hearts II - PlayStation 2

    • The camera was slightly easier to use and you are less likely to have your vision line behind a tree or cliff and end up dying because you can't see anything
    • The camera is wonderful now, though at first i was annoyed that it was the 5th thing for my thumb to do i got used to it quickly
    • In this game, you use the right analog stick to move the camera (as opposed to the R2 and L2 buttons in the first game).
    • The control is vastly improved over its predecessor, and with a free camera, you won't be hating those long battles or that search for an ever elusive treasure chest
    • What made the first game so difficult was the camera's issues which make it so hard to see where the heck you're going
    • The camera's problems, in particular, have been fixed to perfection, thereby, moving the control of the camera from the L2 and R2 buttons to the R3 analog stick, giving you the chance to move
    • For most of the game you'll still be playing as Sora, who controls much like he did in the last game (albeit with a better camera).
    • Kingdom Hearts II succeeds by improving the gameplay, and fixing a few things that kept the first one down such as the horrible camera angles.
    • The writing took a step backwards, even while the plot got more interesting, but the game play's been significantly improved, and most of the issues from the last game, such as the bad camera controls, were fixed
    • She tells me how great the graphics are, how awesome the story line is, the camera is easy to move (unlike Kingdom hearts: P) and that the battle system is easy
    • The camera is much improved from the first game.
    • Square took every shaky element from the first game (the sometimes repetitive battle system and the camera mainly) and took them to the next level.
    • When you are fighting a fast enemy, or near a wall, the camera may not work.
    • A long prologue sure, an imperfect camera maybe, an annoying little mermaid level of course
    • The abitlity system remains the same - which is similar to the ability system in Final Fantasy IX.Another big improvement is the troublesome camera angle that plagued the first game
    • The camera still hates you, just not as much as in the first.(You have to control the camera with the right analog stick.)The meh:Some people may not like the reaction command thing out of dislike for quick time events.
    • I won't give away any details, but the controls are much improved in this game, and the camera isn't nearly as annoying
    • This is a shame in the boss battles in particular, as you will very often miss out on a lot of the character of each boss fight because you are primarily concerned with bashing one button as fast as you can, since that's simply the most effective way of winning, regardless of what a boss's signature moves or spectacular special attack is
    • The gummi ship missions are vastly improved as they are actually not boring this time
    • The Bad:-The battles are way to easy, I only died on two bosses.-Some of the voice acting isn't as good as in the first
    • The good isn't as bright as in the first game, the darkness isn't as dark, and the characters are less vibrant and distinct.
