Clear instructions, excellent results

I spent months trying to research the best scanner for us - user friendly, good quality results, multiple applications, and of course priced appropriately for someone who will not be using it for professional purposes

Yes, the Scanza can be used independently from a laptop but my preference was to use it while connected directly via the included usb cable which also powered the scanner That interface was klunky for me as it involved scanning, transferring the photos from the sd card in the scanner to a file in the laptop, naming & sorting, then erasing the scanned images from the sd card (to reduce clutter and confusion).In short, it does the job, is economical compared to having slides scanned at the local photo shop, and provides a good result

For slides with good exposure, contrast, dye color retention, and focus the results were great and exceeded my expectations

Especially at the interpolated resolution of 22mp (standard res is 14mp), the results are blurry and indistinct at best

Anybody have a good work-around for that?I suspect the expensive units provide superior results when the medium being processed is of very high quality

So even if you attempt to color correct in software later on, your results will always be inferior and compromised compared to a properly lit image

Easy set up; good results; color can be off w/limited adjustments but serves the purpose for me.

We were transferring slides from the early 1980's and had excellent results.

The results look great

the only minor setback is the result of differences in slide mounts which 'captured' final scanned images often show ... for me, using a photo editor allows me to crop them out

I was so excited and very hopeful for this brand-new KODAK product but was disappointed by its poor results

Once you sort out the instructions, it's really easy to use and provides excellent results

Made of cheap plastic and unclear directions as to how to operate, I was able to get the thing cup and running, with awful results

I was able to print over 1,500 negatives in a very short time with excellent results.

In comparison, my 14-year-old, 8-mega pixel Nikon Cool Pix 8700 camera attached to a slide adapter gave clearly superior results in color and resolution

then tried some 35mm negatives with nice results too

I expect much better results when the replacement arrives TODAY

Quality not great from 110 negs - still playing with it to try to get a better result.

When the results of the scanned slides were compared to pictures taken with my 20 megapixel camera the results were especially disappointing.

This worked more easily than the slides and gave very good results.

In the past I tried to do it myself using a cumbersome tool that was slow and delivered poor results

You put the negative in, and see the positive result right there on the screen in real-time

So far using only for 35 mm slides and the results are very, very good.

If you view the resultant scans on a 1920X1080 monitor or TV, you will really like the results
