    KODAK SCANZA Digital Film & Slide Scanner – Converts 35mm, 126, 110, Super 8 & 8mm Film Negatives & Slides to JPEG – Includes Large Tilt-Up 3.5” LCD, Easy-Load Film Inserts, Adapters & More

    • My unit was missing the negative slide scanner tray (or it was misplaced in my excitement to get it open and begin scanning).
    • Only issues was older slides were sometime hard to slide through the machine, that may have been due to the swelling of the slide carboard.
    • Even better slides usually needed to be brighten up.
    • For 35mm slides and color negatives overall good
    • The one-slide-at-a-time process is slow going, even more so if you have to keep checking back to see if you remembered to press capture, since the holder takes three slides at a time, and you are only working with the center slide.
    • The negatives slide thru easily, the screen is big enough to actually see the photo clearly, copies to the sd card
    • The negatives and slides fed into the device easy, but would occasionally get stuck if the slide or negative was a little warped
    • Digitize slides and negatives in mass... worked well right off.
    • this is the best slide scanner on the market the others must be
    • Very easy to use, I copied almost 1000 slides from my dad’s collection dating from 1960 to 1990.
    • However it is fairly easy to slide the adapter out of the scanner and then push the offending slide mount up or down while pushing the next side into the adapter which will push the offending slide past the catch point
    • Every so often a warped slide will hang up necessitating pulling the slide carrier out to nudge the slide over some.
    • I could just push the next slide in, capture, push slide in, capture, like an assembly line.
    • I did a quick trial on old slides, color negs and b/w negs - its painless to get images that are good enough for use as memories from 4 decades ago.
    • It works well to convert slide to digital but lacks a means of focusing on the slide
    • This slide digital converter works just as advertised
    • I like that I can view my slides and save the best ones.
    • And so far, the slides are all pretty dark.
    • The basic/3mb file size selection is adequate for amateur slides taken over the years...if you are looking to convert important or professional slides, send them out to a repro shop.
    • Some slides duplicate well and others do not, even when taken by same camera and same settings.
    • The slides have turned out great and it's really easy to use.
    • This product mangled my slides
    • Newer slides worked perfectly.
    • The slide carriers however, TERRIBLE
    • The color was not good as the slide.
    • As you can tell from the dust specks, I didn't clean the slide before scanning because the slide if 44 years old
    • The older slides are especially dirty and need to be cleaned and re-scanned as they are over 70 years old and been sitting in storage for decades
    • The slide/negative feed mechanism is a little clunky, but gets easier to use with practice.
    • Be sure to clean the bottom mirror and dust the slides before making the conversion.
    • I primarily have 35 millimeter slide images taken years ago prior to digital cameras when slide were popular.
    • But if your slides are good you should get very pleasing results
    • We have a super duper scanner with a 50-slide holder, but it takes forever to scan each slide, plus slides get jammed (if we look away for one second), after which we lose everything that has scanned up to then).
    • My in-laws wedding in Germany, my husbands newborn photos, so many amazing slides
    • Finally you can now view all the unconnected slides & negatives lying about in those old shoe boxes
    • As someone else here mentioned, slides get jammed everytime time.
    • Of course, the quality of the picture is only as good as the slide
    • “well” is slides
    • There are two slide holders, neither of which works particularly well.
    • Hard to color correct some slides
    • I downloaded several thousand negatives and slides over a couple of evenings
    • After some brief experimentation, we were able to set him up with a slude tray and he now has a perfect activity transferring slides to digital
    • Sharp slides turn to mush and colors are crap
    • Picture quality is good, at least as good as the original slide
    • To this point, I have not been able to find any 35mm slide/negative scanners that were affordable and did quick high-quality scans
    • I have some great slides and they came through great
    • I have always wanted to scan all of my slides and negatives, but the scanners I own take two (2) to four (4) minutes to scan each slide, in addition to the time it takes to clean the slides prior to scanning
    • I blame the slides.
    • All the slides I tried to digitize were blurry and had a blue tint.
    • Keep a spare slide handy as a "pusher".
    • I've only used it to scan positive 35 mm slides
    • Old, curved slides would hang up in the holder
    • Unfortunately the slides and negatives were blurred and had no clarity at all.
    • I just capture the slide as it passes through then manipulate it in my photo program to correct color, flip, upside down
    • I have crisp published slides that I tried with
    • It digitizes 35mm slides extremely well and quickly
    • very easy to use, did over 500 slides that are approx 70 years old so far....works great....
    • very easy to use, did over 500 slides that are approx 70 years old so far....works great....
    • The only problem I had was moving the slides thru the holder.
    • I was looking for photo scan as well as negative and slide
    • Though the Scanza is faster, the image quality is really only good enough for indexing the slides (so I can organize the originals and know which slides contain which images) but not for any kind of presentation
    • This happens frequently enough (say every 4th or 5th slide) to be a little bit annoying.
    • I found the device and can easily give it five stars!Note: If you are in a situation like me, your slides or negatives will be dusty and dirty from years of sitting around
    • It copies slides so well, I haven't adjusted color tone or anything, just loaded them into my computer with ease
    • The slides once on a computer could be cleaned up with a photo shop style program.
    • Nothing to do with the product, but I now realize I need a way to keep track of slide metadata like photo date (usually printed on each slide label).
    • Would be better if slides were simply inserted in a slot, like the typical slide viewer.
    • Slides that were in good shape came out very nice - damaged slides not so
    • Did not know what to really expect from a relatively inexpensive slide scanner
    • but not if you would like to see anything close to the original slide/negative quality
    • View the slide if you like it click and on to the next
    • If deposits are visible scrape clean with a utility knife and blow off slides with a squeeze bulb puffer
    • Bought this to copy old slides from the 50's, works great
    • Although quick per scan, you still may not want to scan hundreds or thousands of slides since you have to feed them manually.- Not overly sharp images, but should work to print up to about 8x10 size from a sharp original slide or
    • For 35mm slides and color negatives overall good
    • So a warped slide will not feed smoothly across the insert-guide.
    • When slides are warped, you need to manually clear the adapter.
    • Older slides with signs of wear tend to jam the adapter, requiring you to pull it out and manually remove the slide or move it along.
    • It would be okay for someone who just wanted to look at small sized pictures on your computer or cell phone, but if you wanted a good sized picture from a clear and crisp negative or slide, clear and crisp won't happen with this little device
    • Photo quality is as good as the slide
    • I was also surprised that the slide attachment for feeding the slides was rather sloppy in that it allowed the slides to go over the top of another and had to be manually removed
    • Unit works ok but for old negatives/slides, you will need to make color corrections frequently.
    • Deteriorated slides can be manipulated with computer software to an extent, but bad slides are just that.
    • Most my need was slides so its quite good for that.
    • As far as slides are concerned, what I have tried turn out very well.
    • If there is a scanner that has a jam free slide insertion method, it might be a better choice if you have many slides to scan
    • The unit is very easy to use and slides can be processed very fast
    • Great slide to digital conversion ... using it is a piece of cake and the results are fantastic
    • There were 35mm and 110 slides, and negatives and even some 125 (its a square format) slides and negatives.
    • Then, worse than that, every slide I put on the scanner came back out of focus
    • Excellent slide and film scanner
    • If there is a scanner that has a jam free slide insertion method, it might be a better choice if you have many slides to scan
    • It’s like garbage in, garbage out, and the scanned images will only be as good as the original slide.
    • Don’t expect miracles if your slides are not great to begin with
    • It’s the best slide scanner I have used.
    • Getting some 50 year old slides ready for a funeral service finally convinced me to give up on the Canon.
    • I got this because I have a bunch of really old negatives and color slides.
    • Sometimes the slides get stuck, but usually it's not too hard to get them through
    • The Scanza allows you to adjust color and make basic adjustments, but I only adjusted the tint at times since I planned to use photo editing software to improve the most important slides
    • This one was rated the Best of the Best and at least the slides are not completely washed out
    • As noted, this is a very good SLIDE scanner – but contrary to the product claims, it is not so good on film negatives
    • It has built in software to edit the slide and works well, but I already have programs that I use and decided to edit with them since they are on the PC and am more familiar with them
    • It has its shortcomings (ease of handling negatives and older slides) but works well and serves its purpose.
    • I have only run about 50 slides through it and a few have hung on the transport but probably some flash that will wear down.
    • The slides came out as negatives and should have scanned as positives
    • Included carriers for 35mm negatives and slides are easy enough to use, 110 not so much see belowThe bad1
    • Do some online research on the correct way to clean slides and negatives because you will want to clean these before you scan
    • I had a lot of negative’s that were 30-40 years old
    • this is a must to have, easy use, no need 4 a computer type scannerSmall not a lot of space needed, it does what's written, look at negative s
    • Easy to use overall, but Scanza’s 135 slide tray design is the only glitch
    • In less than one week it fatally froze as I was scanning
