So you have to pull the negative carrier out, insert the negative manually into the exit on the left, close the carrier, reinsert it, scan pictures 2-5, and then pull the negative strip all the way to the right to get a shot of the first picture on the negative strip

I was looking for an easy way to convert some old family slides into files to share.

This is a reasonable way to get the images, it takes some gettng used to, but once you understand it, they can be done about 20 seconds apart.

So simple to use and a great way to get old slides available to view again

BUT I DO NOT LIKE THE WAY YOU RUN

There are some minor things that could be improved: the B/W scans could be done in grayscale to reduce the file size; there could be options in file naming; there could be a better way to clean the interior of the unit; etc

I feel that I am still not loading the slides the proper way because it takes a lot of time to line it up straight

It will not color correct, but with a little trial and error you can quickly determine the best way to deal with yellowing, super bright and even fading colors to maximize the end result

Easy way to covert 35mm slides to digital format

Do some online research on the correct way to clean slides and negatives because you will want to clean these before you scan

Very pleased with the speed of conversion, would take the slides as fast as I could push them into the tray

The only problem I had, although minor, was the tendency of some slides to jam as they were inserted in the tray.

The quality of the scanned photos from slides or negatives is not as good as if you had them printed, but for storing on a computer for "posterity", it is great.
