Korg Monotron Delay Analog Ribbon Synthesizer

    • You can run a song through it and play sounds over it and that feature is pretty cool
    • The best feature about this, I would say, would be the ability to channel in audio via a 3.5mm jack and assign modulation and a filter
    • Love the cutoff feature on high peak
    • This one has a tuning circuit that divides the ribbon into discrete note sections - a nice feature from the Monotribe.
    • This monster was featured on Close Encounters of the Third Kind to communicate with the aliens, but with a modified cabinet to make it look like a glorified organ
    • The filter is great (featuring both cutoff and peak controls), and the dual use of the LFO (for the pitch and filter cutoff) allows for a wide variety of sounds
    • Best features (so far):
    • I like the selectable scaling feature, though I've only used the chromatic mode so far
    • Really nice delay feature that you can build up and get a nasty sound really easy
    • input is a great feature, letting you route audio into the unit to make use of the
    • The filter has been secretly set to "follow" across the ribbon, meaning the cutoff frequency falls as you move your finger to the left, and rises as you move to the right.
