Very surprising sounds and great resonant filter that can get out of control.

You also get an aux in jack, which allows you to run external audio through the excellent filter

The cross modulation with Dual VCOs is amazing and the aux input has a classic MS20 filter

The MS-20 filter is pretty good and the box has some good bottom when hooked up externally.

This thing is fun!For the price of a full tank of gas (US) you get a legendary ANALOG filter and a decent synth.

Other than that, the product is a fun little filter.

You can't really play on it, but it has a lot of coloration, from bright, low and bassy, and screamy because of that amazing filter it has

Exactly what I wanted: a fun noise generator and fx filter

But that is just it, all of the monotron's glory is in its voltage controlled oscillator fully analogue signal pathway and fabulous Low pass filter and not much is leftover for any sort of playability.

Otherwise, it's a great sound effect generator, and you can run a guitar or synth through its input, tapping into the powerful and versatile filter.

I will say however, it can be used as a filter box for external sounds, using the aux in port, which actually is pretty nice for devices with either a very hidden or nonexistent filter, like a cheap keyboard or a guitar

The filter is very useful for running my old keytar through it, and getting some great retro sounds

Second, for the size and features, it's just a great value--the filter is awesome, and the type of sound you can get out of this little thing is very surprising
