Koss Porta Pro Black On Ear Headphones with Case Black

    • Not ideal for listening to music unless you really love your bass.- Not all that compact.
    • These headphones have awesome sound, great bass, and they're only $35
    • Outstanding bass response and mid/high reproduction.
    • ; if you're careful, these shouldn't break)Cons -- bass doesn't extend super low; not much bass output below about 50 Hz- for electronic and rap/hip-hop music, lack of very low bass is an issue with SOME songs.
    • They're pretty comfortable, and the sound quality is not bad, except for what sounds to my ears like an exaggerated, slightly muddy bass
    • This sounds fantastic across the board: well-articulated bass, buttery smooth mids, and clear highs without any edginess and glare.
    • Very clear treble, and decent bass.
    • Good bass, but not too heavy
    • I think these cans have been re-designed to try to match the more popular bass-heavy Beats and other bestsellers
    • You don't need much volume on your device, and the bass is quite strong, especially since the ear pads look very similar to cheap models that are typically very tinny
    • I have not had any issues with it breaking or anything, and it delivers some nice bass and sound for the price
    • They ok n the bass is crazy but 2 things these are old skool
    • The ear buds that came with my phone have better bass expression.
    • I like the retro look, and they have well rounded bass and highs
    • Fidelity is superb, with an emphasis on rich, smooth bass without muddiness
    • The bass on these headphones is AMAZING for this price range.
    • I love bass, and the bass sound is extremely good
    • Bass is overemphasized and drowns out the rest.
    • I have other well regarded headphones from Grado and Sennheiser, but these are just fantastic - they are easy to drive with portable devices - no external amp needed - and are tuned for a warm sound with plenty bass, but not exaggerated bass like the headphones with certain rap artists names on them
    • I'm not sure what really constitutes "good" or "deep" bass, but boy did these things wimp me when I listened to Skrillex
    • As it's stated, the bass and sounds are wonderful
    • Classic headphone has pretty good sound, with pretty strong bass, surprising for an on-ear design with no seal against the ear
    • good sound deep bass
    • Nice smooth bass with decent highs
    • Nice bass for the money.
    • Great Bass, Clear vocals, good overall balance and very loud
    • For the first 5 weeks, the sound was great, a big upgrade from the pedestrian Sony headphones I had been using; good bass, decent highs and mid-ranges, and a nice separation of sound.
    • Bass is both overpowering and slightly muddy
    • Sound quality, bass response as well as treble are excellent.
    • You definitely notice the beautiful bass
    • They love bass, have fantastic highs and does not fail on the midrange either!!
    • Sound quality is fantastic, great bass and highs.
    • It has the best bass of it's small size
    • Fantastic mids, highs and surprisingly pleasant bass
    • Great full spectrum stereo sound and really good bass response.
    • Rich, full bass and clear highs without being piercing.
    • And let me tell you these things have good bass, I was hoping they would and wasn't thinking they would be as good on the bass as they are
    • I'm extremely unhappy with these overall, but maybe once the metal stretches out a little they'll become more comfortable, and at least I have something to contrast with my tinny cheap Panasonics Panasonic On-Ear Stereo Headphones RP-HT21 (Black & Silver) Lightweight and Comfortable, Powerful Bass
    • and it doesn't get even close, powerful bass for playing keyboard and edrums.
    • These have fantastic bass
    • The bass production and fidelity you get with these is incredible
    • Crisp, clear sound, and full bass
    • Excellent bass,low price
    • Good quality, especially the bass.
    • The sound quality is balanced, warm and clear with good bass extension, however, it had a tendency to get a little flabby, muddy and fatiguing with dense musical passages with portable music players.
    • For Rap/Pop/etcI didn't give these a 2 star because most people do not like classical and these headphones do deliver good bass.
    • My pros, cons, and conclusion below:Pros ++ great overall sound quality, probably unbeatable at this or even double this price+ potent but not overbearing bass; fairly neutral mids and highs; no listening fatigue+ comfortable and secure
    • the bass is ridiculously good, the overal quality is decent but the bass is where it's at. portable. affordable
    • the best BASS to get you moving under $100 and overall quality
    • Good bass for a cheaper set of phones.
    • These Koss Porta Pro are amazing: superb sound (more bass than the 7506, though, if you are into flat response), extremely light, not leaking in or out as much as people say (totally OK for outdoor and public transportation listening), easy to adjust pressure on the head, very compact when folded and put in the pouch coming with them (see picture), I also like the jack angle which is halfway between 90° and straight

    • Overall this is a great open-back headphone with good quality bass and is very comfortable
    • comfortable,good deep bass performance

    • Strong bass, good high response, warmish sound
    • Lightweight, clear high notes with solid bass response
    • Comparable to ATH-M50s, but the bass is not as clear
    • Doesn't give you nice bass/sound quality compared to more expensive headsets that cover your entire ear, but I use it when I go for bike rides, train rides, etc and it works perfectly
    • If you like turning up the bass, you'll like these
    • Balanced, pretty good bass.
    • Ignore other stuffs, enjoy the bass.
    • These are much better than a lot of newer brand, or name specific head phones, the bass and treble and mids are great... especially for the price
    • There is pretty good bass presence.
    • The bass is stronger and the midrange and highs are more defined.
    • i love these headphonesPros-excellent bass responseexcellent sound quality in generallightweightcomfortableConssometimes hair is ripped out by the band (a minor issue if you have short hair)rarely hair will get into the driver and distort sounds (ive only seen this once)other thoughtsit has a somewhat short cable, which is great for exercising, but not so much for home use
    • Its clarity is rather good and its tone pretty natural (compared to some European $300~ headphones), its bass is present, but not powerful (but neither excessive
    • The tonal reproduction of each instrument in the London Symphony Orchestra or the Beattles is faithful and the bass is solid, not muddled or weak
    • The bass is impressive for this style and price point
    • I just hope the extra bass doesn't give me a headache after wearing them for an extended period of time
    • Highs and Mids are fantastic and the Bass is great

    • ; if you're careful, these shouldn't break)Cons -- bass doesn't extend super low; not much bass output below about 50 Hz- for electronic and rap/hip-hop music, lack of very low bass is an issue with SOME songs.
    • Fabulous bass!
    • Bass is simply amazing
    • In this quest, I bought (and resold) several promising candidates: Sennheiser HD-25 (too punchy basses were tiring), Sony MDR-10RC (muddy basses), Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 on-ear (too much bass and too bulky on the ears), as well as many other headphones I tried in stores
    • Excellent bass, midrange & treble
    • Bass was crisp and clear with no distortion and the highs were also crisp and pleasant to the ear
    • , I threw that out there for the people who love their bass and that's all
    • As for sound, the PortaPro has phenomenal mids and a great bass punch
    • But in all honesty, the bass is unbeatable for the price
    • Awesome bass n treble for the price, only problem is others get to.hear light sound when u hear at 75% of Max vol
    • I would not mind a constant low from it, but if I have a song with a mid bass spectrum peaking higher, I would prefer to hear that tighter bass, not this muddy sounding bass
    • Good bass, decent midrange and treble
    • The PortPro add space to the music, the bass is powerful but not too much and the highs are well balance
    • some good bass that doesn't veil the mids too much and solid highs that don't sound too dark
    • Excellent lightweight over-the-ear headphone with a great bass and tremble range
    • That is how I prefer to listen to my music, more bass/mid heavy
    • The sound is probably best described as "warm", but don't worry, the bass isn't overpowering - everything just sounds perfectly balanced
    • The bass is pretty good as well for such a lightweight driver.
    • no joke, and the punchy bass makes the drums sound great!
