You'll plug them into your smartphone or whatever and carry them around, the plug will get little bits of torque put on it here and there, and over a few months the connection will become intermittent

I was reasonably happy with the sound and comfort, but after a year of use, there's a loose connection near the plug that makes one channel cut out.

The cord has been tugged on countless times, but I've never had a bad connection

If I get sound, I try not to move, because if I do I lose the connection
