For the price of this product I would recommend investing in a nice stand alone grinder and using a pour over, machine, press or whatever your preferred method is.

Unfortunately the amazing unopenable and uncleanable grinder just got all clogged up and it took 15 minutes of brushing and shoving an opened paper clip (the larger size works best) up to the grinder opening to get the chute cleaned out

This coffee maker is inexpensive, but it has a good grinder and makes an excellent brew.

Update- took apart the grinder to clear out

So for me the grinder is a waste of money.

Spoke with Krug's office and was told parts needed to replace grinder top cover and shoot cover were not available.

We have done the occasional vinegar descale (and use Zerowater-filtered H2O in it), but have NEVER once cleaned the grinder

This coffee maker is a combination of a pretty good grinder and a cheap drip coffee maker.

My only objection is that when I set the coffee strength to strong, it isn't as strong as I like.
