They include this tiny brush to clean the entire unit as the only part that IS removable is the coffee strainer.1 star
This unit is junk
This automatic unit is simply not smart enough to get it right.
The second unit arrived and worked great for the first 3-4 pots of coffee.
- so, I will drill a small hole through it like I did on the earlier version to correct that problem.... coffee tasted good on first pot... hoping to enjoy this unit for a long time....
If I use the grinder (which is part of the reason I bought the machine), set it for the correct number of cups, set the strength to strong, and set the grinder to the finest possible grind, the coffee comes out weak.
We love a grind and brew coffee maker and this one is perfect for our needs.
Even when set to the finest grind, the coffee is too coarse to make a strong cup.
The first 30 days I owned this machine, I loved it, however, the nature of coffee makes the grind feature an issue.
The grind is far too coarse, even on the Lowest setting , I have stopped using it.
It started to grind coffee beans then stopped and that was the end of that coffee maker.
I see other reviews about how it doesn't grind the beans right - for me, it grinds very fine for strong coffee
Not have to watch over the coffee maker to make sure it grounded enough beans.
The Krups Grind and Brew coffeemaker with a burr grinder is excellent, and the only machine with a built in grinder that grinds the beans fine enough and makes coffee strong enough for my taste.
While the coffeemaker brews a good pot using already ground coffee, the grind function doesn't grind beans fine enough to make adequately strong coffee
Looks good in the promo, but I cannot recommend purchasing this product.
I have never seen a company not replace a product that is brand new and never used, that didn’t work when purchased
It lasted about 2-3 months past warranty, which made it a very expensive purchase.
The old filters don't fit flush into the recess for amoeba shaped pod of charcoal ... guess we'll see if it floats up out of its well as it gets used.... also, I thought I saw a drain hole in the top of the handle, but mistook the depression at the top of the handle and it holds water when you use the dishwasher to clean the carafe (even though the directions say to hand wash - who does that?
The plastic in the grinder completely fell apart and was loose in the machine
Right off the bat, opening and closing the water area is difficult due to a flimsy plastic latch
To clean out the grind via the small clear plastic cover, you need a vacuum cleaner to draw out the grounds or else tip the whole coffee machine upside down (awesome engineering folks).Going into the trash
My only objection is that when I set the coffee strength to strong, it isn't as strong as I like.
I am going to clean out the plastic, and see how it works without the cap, and if I learn anything, will update here

Old coffee residue negatively affects the taste of coffee, so not being able to clean this basket is a significant negative
Beans get ground but somewhere between the grinder and the grounds basket the grounds get jammed
Every morning we can have coffee at home that almost as good as if we bought it at a coffee shop
Remove basket, clean all surfaces above basket thoroughly, replace basket and try again.
The grinding chute on these Capresso/Krupps grinders tends to plug up if you use oily dark roast beans and the fine grounds setting so be cautious of that
I like strong coffee (Dark Roast) such as the Cuban, Italian or French

It's an obnoxious beep, serves no purpose, and can disturb some sleeping person in the house.
The BEEP is ridiculously loud and should have a feature to turn it off.there are multiple settings for Bean Grind, however I feel like they all do the same.the coffee produced is good and
BUT it also makes a very loud high pitched beeping sounds both when it finishes brewing and when the hot plate turns off
There is a loud beep when the coffee is done and a loud beep when it automatically turns off
