    • Nonetheless, it hasn't been a problem as we constantly use Single Origin Whole Bean Columbian Dark Roast.
    • I like strong coffee (Dark Roast) such as the Cuban, Italian or French
    • I switched to paper filters - a better result as I use a dark French Roast bean
    • BTW, do you use dark roast
    • This could be that I am using dark roast which end up being a little stickier
    • The KRUPS shares the same premium burr grinder that sometimes has a problem with oily dark roast of expresso style coffee beans - so you need to keep an eye on the flow in the grinds chute and possible use the handle of a teaspoon to move it along towards the grounds basket
    • The grinding chute on these Capresso/Krupps grinders tends to plug up if you use oily dark roast beans and the fine grounds setting so be cautious of that
    • My biggest complaint however is that I like dark roasts and strong coffee
    • Never have to stir dark roast beans to get them to grind.

    • The old filters don't fit flush into the recess for amoeba shaped pod of charcoal ... guess we'll see if it floats up out of its well as it gets used.... also, I thought I saw a drain hole in the top of the handle, but mistook the depression at the top of the handle and it holds water when you use the dishwasher to clean the carafe (even though the directions say to hand wash - who does that?
