KRUPS Grind and Brew Auto-Start Maker with Builtin Burr Coffee Grinder, 10-Cups, Black

    • Well, to be fair, the grinding part still works, so now I use it as a huge bean grinder and then pour the grounds and hot water into my press pot
    • I just got the coffee maker, it smells, has water inside but not outside or in the
    • I love the convenience of having the built in grinder with the KRUPS, just add water and coffee beans, press grind and brew and walk away
    • So, my issue would be that it should drip the water SLOWER in order to have the full flavor)
    • I am hoping the white vinegar/water cleaning process will fix it.
    • The coffee pot did not sit high enough to press the spring to release the coffee, so the hot water just pooled into the filter and overflowed with coffee grounds
    • It takes a little experimenting to get the bean to water ratio right ( like any coffee maker) but once you get it locked in all you have to do is fill the water tank and push start
    • Then it died unceremoniously, making noise but not grinding, then brewing hot water
    • When brewing a cup of coffee, the water would get too hot and would not even touch the top 1/4 of the ground beans that had been pushed into the filter from the grinder, resulting in a very weak cup of coffee that tasted burnt every time
    • If I had known that this product does not deliver coffee but hot water after such a short time of purchase.
    • grinds too much coffee and water leave some on the coffee unused
    • The grind and brew function works, but when the brew function only is pushed, the water pump does not work
    • Grinder still works, water doesn't heat or pump
    • The grind and brew function works, but when the brew function only is pushed, the water pump does not work
    • The Cuisinart has a replaceable water filter
    • For the first pot, one is supposed to brew 10 cups of clear water using the “Grind Off” function
    • the hot water only interacts with half of the ground coffee, either this one is bad or a poor design>>
    • When brewing a cup of coffee, the water would get too hot and would not even touch the top 1/4 of the ground beans that had been pushed into the filter from the grinder, resulting in a very weak cup of coffee that tasted burnt every time
    • Then it proceeds to brew hot water.
    • Coffee grinds and brews, the water is hot, and brews fast.
    • It doesn't actually wet most of the ground coffee, or steep the grounds in hot water at all, so most of the excessive grounds are wasted and you only get the poor taste of the first partial low-temperature flush.- Very thin plastic - not good quality at all
    • The hot water touches the grinded up coffee beans and makes coffee that tastes like coffee
    • Also have to set it max strength and 2 cups more than the water amount to get something not mostly hot water.
    • In the end I feel like water runs too quickly through the included filter resulting in very weak coffee
    • We have to put water in for 8 cups and grind for 10... on Strong....- grinder stopped working after 8 months
    • I’m ready to return my second one the grinder is useless the coffee comes out like warm water
    • A week or so into using it the grinder stopped working properly leaving my coffee very weak and tasting like dirty water.
    • I could hear it grinding but nothing was actually going into the filter and nothing but hot water ended up in the pot
    • Grinds are not always deposited into the filter, resulting in a pot of hot water
    • Then only hot water
    • Only after a couple of uses the coffee stopped brewing delivering just light colored hot water
    • The grinder still works but the heating element does not turn on nor does it even try to pump the cold water through.
    • And now after having it a year it is losing some water and taking a long time to brew
    • The grinder function did not work as we thought it should.
    • The old filters don't fit flush into the recess for amoeba shaped pod of charcoal ... guess we'll see if it floats up out of its well as it gets used.... also, I thought I saw a drain hole in the top of the handle, but mistook the depression at the top of the handle and it holds water when you use the dishwasher to clean the carafe (even though the directions say to hand wash - who does that?
    • Every morning we can have coffee at home that almost as good as if we bought it at a coffee shop
