I could tell because the taping was sloppy and the burr had fine coffee grinds on it

The plastic is as advertised / no problem with coffee sticking to plastic and creating a mess

The grind is very even and the coffee does not have static cling, very impressive

On my old machine, static cling often caused some coffee grounds to stick to the sides of the chamber or spray onto the kitchen counter as I tried to pour out the grounds into my coffee maker

Static cling has been nicely controlled, but none will be totally static free, and is a function of climate, bean roast and other unpredictable variables

The impressive feat is the fact that when set to nearly the lowest grind setting, it is able to produce amazingly even and fine espresso grind

It can accommodate my auto-drip as well as my cold brew (that I've missed so much during the pandemic by not being able to buy the proper grind)

That said it works fine and you can grind the coffee beans to many different textures such as fine, very fine or coarse for cold brew

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the coarse setting isn't quite coarse enough to cold brew

By adding a stainless steel permanent filter to the Coffee Maker, that drains from the bottom as well as the sides, I improved the taste of the coffee by at least 25%.Don’t bother if you use sugar or those sugary creamers like my Mom uses… you will never be able to discern the difference.
