KRUPS Grind and Brew Auto-Start Maker with Builtin Burr Coffee Grinder, 10-Cups, Black

    • It is made entirely of cheap plastic which does not feel like it’s worth as little as $50
    • To clean out the grind via the small clear plastic cover, you need a vacuum cleaner to draw out the grounds or else tip the whole coffee machine upside down (awesome engineering folks).Going into the trash
    • But the fit of the lid over the water chamber is sloppy and I have to bend the hard plastic to get it to close completely
    • If it works, my advice is get a small phillips screwdriver and take the cap off immediately to avoid whatever seems to cause the stress fracture and broken plastic
    • The plastic in the grinder completely fell apart and was loose in the machine
    • The glass pot and cheap plastic top don't seal, and leak water and coffee everywhere making a sizable mess every time it's used
    • Right off the bat, opening and closing the water area is difficult due to a flimsy plastic latch
    • It doesn't actually wet most of the ground coffee, or steep the grounds in hot water at all, so most of the excessive grounds are wasted and you only get the poor taste of the first partial low-temperature flush.- Very thin plastic - not good quality at all
    • It finally gave out after 8 years, so I purchased another, but it is now made with cheaper parts and more plastic which made it extremely loud and rattled on the inside, so I returned it in fear it would not last.
    • Likewise, removing the filter basket is very annoying due to flimsy plastic parts
    • In my quest for a decent grind and brew, I found many were quite flawed because they broke or jammed easily, they were hard to clean and required in depth cleaning often, or were cheaply made with inferior plastic parts.
    • Now, I notice that the plastic beneath the cap where the grounds are held is broken and there were pieces of plastic cap in with the beans
    • My guess is the reviews that mention the grinder has ceased to function likely have plastic causing the problem
    • The basket is difficult to remove and constructed of flimsy plastic parts
    • I am going to clean out the plastic, and see how it works without the cap, and if I learn anything, will update here
    • The model is made of mostly cheap plastic
    • Some accumulates, inexplicably, UNDER the plastic grinding chamber – which is held in place by triangular screws
    • The grinder function did not work as we thought it should.
    • The old filters don't fit flush into the recess for amoeba shaped pod of charcoal ... guess we'll see if it floats up out of its well as it gets used.... also, I thought I saw a drain hole in the top of the handle, but mistook the depression at the top of the handle and it holds water when you use the dishwasher to clean the carafe (even though the directions say to hand wash - who does that?
    • Every morning we can have coffee at home that almost as good as if we bought it at a coffee shop
    • Is someone‘s has same problem as mine
    • My only objection is that when I set the coffee strength to strong, it isn't as strong as I like.
