I love this thing

The funny thing is the newer drive will work in PCs but did not in either of my MACs where it will not mount.

Had heard really good things about this

I talked to two other people with this same hard drive and the exact same thing happen to them.

A little over three years ago, I had grown very tired of migrating data, fishing various different drives for different media, and potentially losing things in the process (which happened more than once).

The other nice thing is that it's very quiet, I haven't heard any weird noises or powering up or down sounds like I did on my WD drive

The LaCie hard drive my appear to be quite expensive compared to the other brands; however, I think this thing is really worth it

One thing to note is, the encryption process, which is essential in a portable drive, can take days, slowing things down

With so much (and so cheap) online cloud storage, these things are becoming obsolete
