LeapFrog Epic 7" Android-based Kids Tablet 16GB, Green

    • I bought this device looking to downgrade my kids from an iPad because there was just too many things for the kids to get distracted with on the iPad.
    • Your kids will definitely love this one!
    • It should ease the kid into the experience, like maybe make 3-4 big icons on the home screen and then gradually expose more capability.
    • and I don't think that is cheap, especially because kids get bored with a game really fast
    • My kid has taken to it like a duck to water
    • The home screen is customizable to your kids' interests & super easy for the kids to navigate.
    • I also feel so much more secure with them being on a LeapFrog kid safe device.
    • Since we were downgrading I wanted to buy my kids the best of the best that the LeapPad offers.
    • Lots of age appropriate games and options for the kids to be completely self-driven creative.
    • I personally don't use this as my kids are pretty good about knowing when their time is up
    • Both my kids love the epic but the screen does freeze on occasion
    • Years later my kids are still obsessed with their tablet
    • With the Kid’s Kindle Fire, you also get a free year of the Amazon Freetime Unlimited which includes free access to 10,000 kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games
    • With three rough and tumble kids, I don't always feel safe handing over my iPhone or iPad to let them play games, so I love the kid-tough durablitity of the new LeapFrog Epic to allow them to play this on their own without me having to monitor their every minute with the tablet.
    • This is what their site says about that "kid proof warranty" they love to advertise in every commertial.("This two-year limited “kid-proof” LeapPad tablet hardware warranty and liability
    • There must be a different way to handle this than my kids suffering the loss of their hard work and play because you can not figure a way to fix this issue
    • (Yes, Paw Patrol and Frozen are there too!)~ Sharp and clear graphics, fluid movement~ SAFE internet searching - with KID SAFE SEARCHES
    • The kid safe browser helps me feel better about my son having access to internet
    • It's much better for my kid to use this restricted tablet to play these games, rather than through my cellphone
    • The wifi option makes it so easy to add new apps for age appropriate kids and the variety of options on the leapfrog network had satisfied the varying needs of kids in my house
    • Well, my kid really loves it, but it's just one month since purchase and the low quality stylus tip went ruined and took the screen with it - scratched all over
    • Leap search (the kid safe approved content) works great for the websites Leapfrog has picked, but only partially works for the websites that I added
    • I like how it has a kid safe browser on it as very good parental controls.
    • Keeps my kid entertained all the time
    • My kids love these.
    • This is great if you enjoy shelling out average of $10 PER episode of your kids fav cartoon or for a new game
    • My kids loved it and it's very educational
    • I also like the kid safe search feature, which means I have less to worry about when they're utilizing their 10 silly minutes.
    • The bonus is that kids are protected from accessing the internet and other inappropriate content but the big downfall is definitely the lack of affordable apps.
    • She has a 2-year old RCA android based tablet and many of the free kid-friendly Google Play apps are very similar to the 20 free ones that come with the
    • My kids love it.
    • If you are looking for a good kids tablet this is worth a serious look.
    • My kids really enjoy it.
    • My kid lost interest in the kids edition of the Kindle Fire tablet in a couple of days
    • Both my kids love the epic but the screen does freeze on occasion
    • My kids are amazed with this
    • The Kids Kindle doesn't have this done well and it frustrates kids
    • The kids were thrilled and we set up the tablets after Christmas dinner.
    • There is no limit of free kids apps in app store but most of them are garbage but with leap epic I can trust the content to be top quality and my little ones are loving it
    • They are certainly giving the younger kids a wonderful head start into their educations as well
    • The kids actually broke our first one by pulling on the cable while charging and broke the
    • the Amazon underground app & my kids have the best of both worlds
    • My kids love them
    • I REALLY wanted to like this tablet because of its interactive kid friendly home screen.
    • While other tablets have "kid modes" this one is all about child-appropriate content AND access and for me, that's worth 5 stars all day!
    • My kids are not very patient, they are used to pushing every button/ tapping/swiping, etc., but this actually gets them to listen to the instructions, which I think is great
    • The kids love it
    • My kids have enjoyed hours of fun with the LeapFrog Epic and I love that I don't have to worry about what they're doing!
    • (the “Two-Year Limited Kid-Proof Warranty” or “Warranty”) only covers LeapPad tablets purchased directly from Leapfrog.com
    • We paid about $20 each for a few episodes of the kids' favorite shows so they could watch them offline on an airplane
    • My 3 and 5 year old love my mini ipad because it is well stocked with good kids apps, but the mini is expensive, too open for them (my email and social media are on there, and my 5 year old reads fluently), and too easy to break
    • This tablet is the fastest most smoothly running kid's tablet we've used, and we've tested quite a few
    • It is easy for kids to get a food crumb/dirt into this.
    • Leapfrog has added parental control over the internet allowing parents to add kid safe website links that we approve
    • With this new version, kids can go to approved websites (pbs kids, national geographic, etc), I can download free apps from the amazon store, and I can buy apps from Leapfrog
    • Get a regular Samsung Galaxy Tablet which has more flexibility in installing apps as well as a kid's mode that allows for parental control and kids' profiles.
    • I have yet to find any full length free kids games from Amazon, so I think Leapfrog has been a great relief about offering games with no-risk of ads or weird
    • Some times the kids get excited and push too many buttons with causes the epic to run
    • Access to educator-approved* kid-favorite Android™ apps (that are made available in the LeapFrog app
    • The kid loves it.
    • My kids love this tablet and they seem to have learned how to navigate it quickly.
    • Bought it while back just now placing review, awesome tool to prepare kids for school, durable for
    • My kids watch YouTube kids and this tablet doesn't support it too
    • The kid-safe browser, with a selection of tons of short videos and websites (and I can add more, though I haven't yet).- Robust parent controls, including time limitations
    • So not only do you pay 100 for the tablet, then you pay 20 or more for other games.. but I wasn't going to spend all that money after seeing the lame 'pre k' based games that were on there to begin with.. 2
