I would recommend this bulb for clear fixtures that the bulb is seen, as this looks very similar to the old style clear incandescent bulbs.

I am accustomed to regular filament bulbs and the vintage look of them, and did not believe that an LED light bulb could look good like an old Edison style filament bulb until I got these.

You can get LED Edison bulbs that are longer than this one and less bright

I expect a long life out of the LED bulb.
