Leica D-Lux (Type 109) 12.8 Megapixel Digital Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD (Black) (18471)

    • While I bet Leica will not read this what I would like to see in the next version of this camera is a lens with the same speed as this one but going out to 100 mm, probably impossible to do with the current size constraints.
    • On the other hand, A ‘real’ Leica, with lenses to match the D-Lux, would cost well into $30,000.Correspondingly, in terms of light gathering power, comparable micro 4/3 cameras with more megapixels have roughly thirty percent smaller pixels
    • The Leica makes it very convenient to manage everything without using the menu system - a huge plus for me.
    • On the other hand I've always wanted a Leica, love German engineering but could never afford one
    • My earlier Leica compact cameras all worked well, but were lightweights by comparison to the new Leica D-Lux (I also have theoriginal 2003 Leica D-Lux as well as others).
    • Leica and Panasonic collaborate on many aspects of camera development, and this DLUX, is the best of both worlds
    • I've tacked it a little bit with a piece of black gorilla tape, which I've also used to cover the bright red Leica dot - some of the places I go, that would make me a target
