For under $50.00 I was quickly and easily able to convert my home into a Smart Home without hiring an electrician and having to do any sort of rewiring

I did however want something that worked with our smart home hub and this wasn't the choice

The most important part of a smart home device initially is how well it works with the integrated household

I have smart home devices from other manufacturers that I use with My Echo Dot and have never had any connection problems with them.

I have converted most of the home we have into a smart home using Leviton Dimmers for the lights and they all work perfectly via their app and Alexa.

I set up Echo using the My Leviton Skill and Smart home.

I'm looking forward to incorporating more from the Decora Smart series into my increasingly smart home.

I have all of my smart home devices connected through a dedicated Wi-Fi specifically set up for the smart home

It is one of very few smart home devices that I could find that doesn't require a central hub

I had a need to control for three reasons: I use Alexa a lot in my home and like the ability to consolidate control of all my smart devices through it, my fan is too far to get to when I'm watching TV and more importantly, turn on remotely when I am away when it gets too hot for indoors for our cat

As far as smart home automation goes, this does the simple job of turning on and off your lights

The real difference maker with this device is that it does not require a centralized hub like so many others, which will add price and complexity to your smart home design

Like most Alexa skills, you just add it in the "smart home" section of the app, enter your "My Leviton" credentials, and you are ready to go

I only notice blazing fast response times from the app as well as Google Home

The latter is important because I have discovered most smart home apps don't yet have family sharing functionality included

but I go to -6 stars because I keep having to disable and reenable the Leviton skill in Alexa every few days in order to get it and two other Leviton smart home devices to connect

I'm using mine to control a lamp when I'm out of the house and want to make it look like somebody's home.

This is a great first step for our smart home, despite a fairly high cost (non-smart switches are 80% cheaper) .

I can’t recommend this item enough if you plan building your own smart home network of devices.

I have lots of smart home devices and was so excited to get this to dim my new living room lamp, making special care to get dimmable LED light bulbs

The reason I gave this four stars is because it lacks Google Home integration (it works with Alexa, but that's not what I have)
