Despite the hiss, its a good solid beginner interface that you can use to get ideas down and do some amateur recording with, as well as throw in your backpack without worrying about it breaking
-
It's nice plastic but it does not compare with the full metal cases the more expensive interfaces have.
-
Overall, this isn't a horrible interface, however I would not suggest it for recording vocals
-
The interface itself is excellent
-
One of the best inexpensive and portable interface I've ever bought
-
I love this interface
-
If you can spare paying double that price that are better interface
-
Perfect interface for the price
-
This is the perfect cheap interface for anyone out there running MainStage
-
audio interfaces are expensive and this one is in my hot spot for a budget audio enthusiasts
-
This isn't the audio interface's fault, I don't think, because OSX was disabling power on the ports - however, I had other USB devices (a USB hard drive) that WOULD wake back up when coming out of sleep
-
This interface is awesome.
-
This is by far one of the most solid feeling entry level interfaces I've used to date.
-
I have however used the interface with Garage Band and it works great
-
Don't let some of the other review's stear you away from this amazingly priced interface.
-
but the interface itself is good :)
-
As of 7-5-16, this interface does not, and willl never work EVER again with Mac
-
Lexicon Alpha Desktop Recording Studio is a fantastic entry level interface for high quality home recording on your own computer.
-
this is a very basic interface but its been working flawlessly for me.
-
I've used fancier interfaces and it can be an absolute nightmare setting up
-
This is a great audio interface for my MacBook Pro
-
I've used this interface off and on throughout the past year and I love it
-
great interface
-
You can actually see/hear the blinking light on recorded tracks, so while the Alpha may not be the quietest/best interface it is miles above the Lightsnake which is just $20 less than the Alpha
-
This is the perfect cheap interface for anyone out there running MainStage
-
My last interface shot craps
-
I am also thinking about Avid interface
-
you are on a budget and want a good sounding audio interface buy this
-
This is in stark contrast to other (supposedly) "good" interfaces I've used where you run out of headroom almost a full decibel below reference 0db (or clip).
-
It is ok if you want a cheap, working USB interface, but it's not good for much
-
This interface really, really sucked
-
However, hardware is only as good as the interface they provide to use it with.
-
For the money, this is a great interface for the budding producer
-
Great audio interface
-
Other than that, it's a great interface!
-
I recommend this interface.
-
The Alpha is a great little interface
-
You're not purchasing some awesome, professional, 12-track interface
-
But this is still a great USB interface for anyone who absolutely cannot spend any more than $60.
-
I'm only one person, so this interface is perfect (especially for a beginner).
-
Best cost benefit audio interface around..
-
the perfect interface from my mixer to the computer
-
I spent more money for this Lexicon USB interface, thinking it would be less hassles than the $20 or $30 cheaper interfaces from other companies
-
:DThe Lexicon Alpha audio interface works as advertised using the well known ASIO4ALL universal device driver
-
The Cubase that comes with it, on the other hand, is a little problematic recognizing the interface
-
If I had money to burn I'd definitely go for something higher-end, but on my budget this box now works fine
-
, I'll probably get another, even though they're out of stock, seeing as I damaged mine.
-
OK, as far as basics go, the thing works as you'd expect any product in its class.
