LG 34UC79G-B 34-Inch 21:9 Curved UltraWide IPS Gaming Monitor with 144Hz Refresh Rate

    • For me, the best thing about that panel was the large view angles and better color reproduction than all of the TN-panel monitors that were available at the time.
    • an old 27" LCD monitor attached to the same system and the colors seem dull in comparison on the old LCD compared to this
    • Took a little getting used to but the color and clarity are excellent.
    • Having better color reproduction/contrast/subjective lack of of pixelation is well worth the extra 100 bucks or so versus a VA panel, plus the controls for this monitor are great
    • Cons:- Accurate color reproduction for the most part, but requires a fair bit of setup to get it there
    • I don't do color sensitive work to be able to vouch for the absolute color accuracy, but the colors are nice.
    • Great color, immersive ratio, silky refresh rate, stellar latency
    • Beautiful colors, etc
    • The 1080p looks great too, I also had the AOC Agon 1440P 27" monitor and kept this 1080p display because the colors are insane and in reality 1080p on a 34" screen looks good.
    • The colors are rich/deep the refresh is super
    • Excellent image quality and beautiful color!
    • Great monitor for a decent budget, no color bleeding or any other issue after a couple of months of intensive gaming use
    • The picture is gorgeous, colors are vibrant and has some of the darkest blacks I've seen on a monitor.
    • Overall, great response time, low input lag, great colors/contrast, and excellent software/firmware controlling this thing.
    • The Reddit post below will tell you the best color settings on the monitor to make the colors as accurate as possible
    • Clean, crisp colors, sharp picture, minimal back light bleed, viewing angles are great
    • Color ReproductionComing from an IPS LED, I expected to have at least as good color reproduction on this.
    • The colors on this monitor isn't as accurate as it could be,
    • Very sharp rich colors, definitely a solid purchase.(written 10 months after purchase)
    • TN.The Samsung VA panel had the best color and brightness, but was slow and had some weird color shifting ghosting
    • My windows home screen is a bright green solid color, was obviously inconsistent all over
    • Only a con because it should have a color accurate preset out of the factory imo.- Every time you switch to or from gaming mode it causes other screens plug in to flicker & generally messes up any other applications resolutions that are open at the time.
    • Pros:-Beautiful monitor-wonderful colors IPS-wonderful for gaming 1ms-144hz-curved for immersion-what
    • Wonderful color reproduction just a splendid screen overall
    • The colors were nearly perfect out-of-the-box, I think I removed a tiny bit of red upon setup
    • the colors and blacks looks awesome with the right picture settings.
    • Excellent Monitor, Easy to setup, Brilliant colors, and USB3 and DP hookups.
    • I reterned it and got a screen that has better color/brightness.
    • The colors are OUTSTANDING.
    • Color is a pain to configure; you do not have the standard color intensity and hue; but you get like 4 sliders for each color, to change not only saturation but also other parameters
    • tn panel had better colors, other than that it's nice and big and games are awesome on it but might require some work to get the aspect ratio right.
    • , my only gripe is it's a tad bit too dim for me and the colors are not too great for my taste not sure if it's just my display, I just feel like
    • However the colors are very crisp and very clear
    • McCree's skin is literally green on the LG 34UC79C-B.I watched Mario Odyssey gameplay on both monitors, colors are more vibrant on my older monitor
    • No matter what I've tried, the colors on this monitor look less vibrant (even with digital vibrance turned to 60), looks much dimmer than my previous monitor, and overall has worse color quality
    • Paid over $500 for this monitor and the color is damaged
    • While the colors are not that bad once you play with them and while the display works it is not a bad monitor
    • This is not a monitor for those interested in accurate color reproduction, or high contrast with deep blacks and bright whites
    • No matter what I've tried, the colors on this monitor look less vibrant (even with digital vibrance turned to 60), looks much dimmer than my previous monitor, and overall has worse color quality
    • The Default Custom mode is my default now as it is well balance and nice punchy color output
