If you happen to receive a 34UC79G-B with no backlight bleed issues or an other defect, you will surely be a happy customer as it is a great looking piece of hardware.
In summary - this monitor is the best display I ever own, it is one step ahead and nicer than my previous already great looking ViewSonic
I own or have owned 4 2560x1080 monitors, and this one had the worst looking desktop out of them all
what a great gaming monitor for the $$$, super bright looks great and gaming is superb.
Also the little hook in the back for cable management is so nice!If you're looking at this for gaming, it's a great buy
To those of you who bought this go do a black light bleed test or full a black picture
The picture is amazing especially with the curve, but since I have wasted a couple hours of my time unboxing, testing, reboxing, and returning TWO of these monitors, I simply cannot recommend this product
The picture is nice, too, so there is technically nothing to complain
Beautiful, sturdy, nice and incredible quality picture for gaming
I really enjoy the picture quality and ease of use on this monitor
So much for the "quality assurance display report," a blatant issue with the screen panel itself
Installed a ultrawide screen mod for Fallout 4 (Ultra settings) and sunk in a few hours marvelling the quality of the game and monitor
Beautiful, sturdy, nice and incredible quality picture for gaming
No matter what I've tried, the colors on this monitor look less vibrant (even with digital vibrance turned to 60), looks much dimmer than my previous monitor, and overall has worse color quality
Fantastic quality, no dead pixels & Super sharp image!!
The colors on this monitor isn't as accurate as it could be,
The 1080p looks great too, I also had the AOC Agon 1440P 27" monitor and kept this 1080p display because the colors are insane and in reality 1080p on a 34" screen looks good.
This is not a monitor for those interested in accurate color reproduction, or high contrast with deep blacks and bright whites
No matter what I've tried, the colors on this monitor look less vibrant (even with digital vibrance turned to 60), looks much dimmer than my previous monitor, and overall has worse color quality
an old 27" LCD monitor attached to the same system and the colors seem dull in comparison on the old LCD compared to this
The picture is amazing especially with the curve, but since I have wasted a couple hours of my time unboxing, testing, reboxing, and returning TWO of these monitors, I simply cannot recommend this product
I’m a fan of LG and this monitor continues with great products that I’ve purchased over the years
Not LG's fault, love their product, just wish it hadn't happened to me
The level of QC for this panel is apparently abysmal, and for a product at this price, completely unacceptable
The product is great as long as you wait a bit for it to be on sale
The blacks aren't the greatest, and there is some light bleed, but at the sick deal price I got it at, I am baffled that they could produce this profitably.
What a fantastic price too on a great ultra-wide monitor
At my current salary this was the best I could purchase at a very decent price.
· Motion blur reduction mode not as impressive as NVIDIA's ULMB, but it does make a visible difference
its great I wish it didn't have
I think this is very good monitor for people who are not in specialized fields.edited on 20171228,I have noticed that the screen darkens when I enable 1ms motion blur reduction, not a deal breaker but just need to aware.
Motion blur gets pretty bad at anything about 120Hz, and the motion blur reduction makes the screen too dim to convince me to use it
As with a lot of 144hz refresh rate monitors the screen will dim significantly to compensate, but it is toggleable
A lot of customization easy installcons: doesn't support Gsync suffer from bleeding
Windows does a lousy job scaling, so if you have a super hi-rez screen, a lot of apps and UI elements have tiny text, and can be straining on people with older eyes, like me.
make sure that the game you play supports 21:9 aspect ratio otherwise you’ll be wasting a lot of screen space with black bars
