To be fair, I'm giving the Linksys switch 3 stars because I can't positively confirm there isn't another problem causing the packet loss.

Packet loss is still happening

What's weird about this problem is if I connect an Apple Airport Extreme in bridge mode to the satellite box, no packet loss occurs

I haven't experimented with Skype yet but "regular" VOIP calls using Ekiga and SFLphone are just as clear and reliable as they've always been

The unit works as it should and is easy to install.

Works as you would expect.
