5 ghz was basically unusable to me in certain key places, like my office and bedroom, which are at opposite ends of the house.

After reading the various forums and what was on the Linksys website, I made a number of changes (separate the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz channels, modify the MTU code, making sure you have the latest firmware), I was able to up my download to 13-15 Meg (saw 20 meg one time).

The 5 ghz quickly loses range, and 2.4 ghz has good range but terrible noise rejection and so speeds suffer a lot.
