Linksys N300 Wi-Fi Wireless Router with Linksys Connect Including Parental Controls & Advanced Settings (E1200)

    • I used to get much faster speeds with the old Trendnet router.
    • The speed always stayed consistent and the internet was always fast to boot up
    • I apologize,I got mixed up with my purchases.this router is excellent,I really like the two separate Wi-Fi one personal and the other for guests, the ability to change the pass words and the speed also is great
    • Web GUI is easy to set up, speed is excellent and I'm very surprised with the range.
    • I think perhaps I might need to change some settings that are set up by default to produce a better speed
    • Did not improve wireless speed
    • Plus the speeds are never consistent
    • The reason why it isn't easy to find is because there is also a cd and download to setup the usb stick which i suppose allows older machines to use the fastest speeds possible to connect to the internet
    • Strong, consistent signal and great speed.
    • good speed and affordable...win-win!
    • Speed and range are excellent
    • I also don't do any gaming, so the speed is fine by my standards.
    • About 70% of the time you will get a 502 bad gateway error when trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 which means its an absolute pain to set up manually and the reset button seems to cause more firmware issues if held too long and gives no indication of the proper timing to hold (10 seconds seemed to work best for me)After managing to make it into the router setup page setup was actually very easy and the speeds seem good so bonus points there
    • Not enough speed
    • I also had another router which went recently that had great Internet speed with exactly the same setup.
    • I had a bought Negear N750 before this, which was great as far as speed is concerned, but it died after a month.
    • After finally getting everything set up, the router is working well and the speed is much better than my old router
    • Not any better (range or speed) compared to a cheepy range extender we were using for Internet access (thru cable modem) previously
    • I found that I no longer needed to disable the WMM Support setting to get fast speeds to the Internet.
    • Good speeds both hard wired and Wi-Fi
    • Working Well - good range, good price, good speed - would give at least a 4 or 5 but SETUP WAS AWFUL.
    • Please note these are hard wire speeds not wifi speeds I am getting.
    • After reading the reviews for this router, someone suggested turning off WMM which boosted their speed even more
    • In other words, at least two routers produce great Internet speed in exactly the same position as this LinkSys router
    • If you have an E1200 (version 1), you should definitely disable WMM Support in the router, or you will suffer from very poor network speeds
    • Overall it's a good router for the price paid but I have to give it 3 stars due to the somewhat spotty coverage in the house while upstairs, and the speed can sometimes be slow as well
    • Fast setup, good speeds throughout my 3 story townhouse
    • The speed is a little slower than I had hoped but all in all not too bad
    • That's when I switched the router to Wireless-N to possibly get faster speeds, but could NOT get my PC to connect to the router anymore
    • Buggy firmware that slows speeds and the unit itself requires a reboot quite often.
    • Trying other similarly priced routers, the wired connections were 10/100 and my down speed was test-ably slower
    • The speed is a little slower than I had hoped but all in all not too bad
    • Overall it's a good router for the price paid but I have to give it 3 stars due to the somewhat spotty coverage in the house while upstairs, and the speed can sometimes be slow as well
    • Works great got my speed up to where should be.
    • I have since replaced it with a Netgear router that is giving me much faster speeds on all connected devices
    • When running a speed test, the speed fluctuates like crazy
    • Bought another linksys that had the dual band with 5ghz... connecting on wifi to that gives me great speed.
    • After which the router worked fine and my speeds are pretty good on wifi as well
    • After which the router worked fine and my speeds are pretty good on wifi as well
    • Needed to enhance speed and accomodate multiple user support
    • As far as wired connections go, the speed is great and I rarely have any connection issues (and when I do it's mostly because of my ISP, where a replug of the modem and typing "ipconfig -release" then "ipconfig -renew" in command prompt for good measure
    • If anyone figures out how to boost wifi speeds please let me know
    • Overall I’mBet disappointed with the slow speed and performance of this router
    • If you do not see V2, then you have V1.Some historical context:I purchased the original version of this router E1200 (version 1) which suffered from abysmal Internet speeds.
    • After making the suggested changes in the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, my speeds increased about 20%.Both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands work great in the tri-level house - no disconnects or drops and good speeds.

    • Improved Internet speed instantly.
    • I had an "N" Linksys which was great, but, when I upgraded to the "N", I found to have a much stronger signal and more speed for my home set-up.
    • That improved speed for me too.
    • I am still getting poor internet download speeds after receiving a brand new device by them.
    • but there are now more models available with faster internet speeds from Linksys
    • Use proper channel settings in wireless setup menu, keeping channel settings in auto mode will not provide best speed.
    • No more drop outs, and they get great speeds.
    • (good signal, good speed, suitable for my 80m2 department, single band like this one
    • Works great much improved speeds over the junk that the cable company provides.
    • Had for about a year, so far so good, decent range and speed for a cheaper routerUpdate: lost communication often with my devices and finally decided to upgrade after much frustration
    • I bought a zillion routers before this, and this is by far the superior speed/connectivity
    • However, I must say that I do have one of the slowest internet speeds provided by my internet service.
    • I only hope that you last long enough for the arrival of your rival (wow, that rhymes). On a serious note, the speeds were killer on 5 Ghz.
    • Speed is good.
    • Keeps dropping connection and extremely poor speed in all areas of the house except the room the router is in !
    • Excellent high-speed router.
    • Forget what it promises you in the specs - it will randomly kill your download speed.
    • Great speed and range for the money
    • Improved link speed compared to wireless G with excellent signal range.
    • We decided to get this as a dedicated router to improve speeds and signal quality.
    • Any of these will suffice for a small home or apartment, but the Linksys is the easy recommendation based upon its much better range and more stable connection speeds.
    • Good speed and range
    • Good speed, strong connection, perfect for a small apartment
    • Even then, it rarely gives me a good connection speed even just feet from it
    • Good speeds and no problems at all
    • Great signal strength and speed and never gives me any trouble at all.
    • but it is something else that was causing unacceptable slow Internet speeds, but failed miserably after spending at least 20 hours on it
    • I'm very satisfied with this product the speed is fast
    • Speed is good, this replaced a Linksys W54G and video streaming from the internet has no pausing now.
    • I am done with Linksys and not going back... way to many wasted weekends & nights troubleshooting their crappy product(s).
    • and I needed to have static IP’s on each
    • The D-Link works fine, and I now have full network functionality as well as internet connectivity.
