I used to get much faster speeds with the old Trendnet router.

The speed always stayed consistent and the internet was always fast to boot up

I apologize,I got mixed up with my purchases.this router is excellent,I really like the two separate Wi-Fi one personal and the other for guests, the ability to change the pass words and the speed also is great

Web GUI is easy to set up, speed is excellent and I'm very surprised with the range.

I think perhaps I might need to change some settings that are set up by default to produce a better speed

Plus the speeds are never consistent

The reason why it isn't easy to find is because there is also a cd and download to setup the usb stick which i suppose allows older machines to use the fastest speeds possible to connect to the internet

I also don't do any gaming, so the speed is fine by my standards.

About 70% of the time you will get a 502 bad gateway error when trying to connect to 192.168.1.1 which means its an absolute pain to set up manually and the reset button seems to cause more firmware issues if held too long and gives no indication of the proper timing to hold (10 seconds seemed to work best for me)After managing to make it into the router setup page setup was actually very easy and the speeds seem good so bonus points there

Not enough speed

I also had another router which went recently that had great Internet speed with exactly the same setup.

I had a bought Negear N750 before this, which was great as far as speed is concerned, but it died after a month.

After finally getting everything set up, the router is working well and the speed is much better than my old router

Not any better (range or speed) compared to a cheepy range extender we were using for Internet access (thru cable modem) previously

I found that I no longer needed to disable the WMM Support setting to get fast speeds to the Internet.

Working Well - good range, good price, good speed - would give at least a 4 or 5 but SETUP WAS AWFUL.

Please note these are hard wire speeds not wifi speeds I am getting.

After reading the reviews for this router, someone suggested turning off WMM which boosted their speed even more

In other words, at least two routers produce great Internet speed in exactly the same position as this LinkSys router

If you have an E1200 (version 1), you should definitely disable WMM Support in the router, or you will suffer from very poor network speeds

When running a speed test, the speed fluctuates like crazy

Bought another linksys that had the dual band with 5ghz... connecting on wifi to that gives me great speed.

As far as wired connections go, the speed is great and I rarely have any connection issues (and when I do it's mostly because of my ISP, where a replug of the modem and typing "ipconfig -release" then "ipconfig -renew" in command prompt for good measure

If anyone figures out how to boost wifi speeds please let me know

Improved Internet speed instantly.

I had an "N" Linksys which was great, but, when I upgraded to the "N", I found to have a much stronger signal and more speed for my home set-up.

That improved speed for me too.

I am still getting poor internet download speeds after receiving a brand new device by them.

Use proper channel settings in wireless setup menu, keeping channel settings in auto mode will not provide best speed.

Great speed and range for the money

Any of these will suffice for a small home or apartment, but the Linksys is the easy recommendation based upon its much better range and more stable connection speeds.

Speed is good, this replaced a Linksys W54G and video streaming from the internet has no pausing now.

I am done with Linksys and not going back... way to many wasted weekends & nights troubleshooting their crappy product(s).

The D-Link works fine, and I now have full network functionality as well as internet connectivity.
