Older Pre-N routers have a much better performance and range
-
Excellent router, great performance
-
Performance was great while it lasted.
-
Better range and faster performance than the Linksys 320 that I upgraded from
-
For a $180 device I expected an easier set up, consistent performance and really "knock my socks off" performance
-
Additionally, I was expecting a better performance than the Wireless G Linksys model
-
We purchased this router to replace an older Linksys router after being told that the newer technology would improve performance
-
I had a Linksys Wireless G for years and the performance was outstanding
-
The performance is awesome and I've only had to reboot it once!
-
The Netgear WNDR4500 covers my entire house, with consistent performance across the range.
-
The manufacturer contacted me thru Amazon and suggested settings I could make to improve performance, which I did, and they worked!
-
Even if I go 4 or 5 rooms away from where the router is located (where the Linksys product lost the signal entirely), I still get 23 Mbps, excellent performance.
-
Great performance.
-
Previously had N300 and see a very noticeable difference in quality as well as performance(no buffering) with Xbox-One, ps3, and five children with smart phones/tablets all running at once
-
I decided to buy this one because I needed better coverage and improved performance, however the main decision factor was the remote access feature
-
The router is great to surf the net, watch Netflix, kids watch YouTube Videos - great WiFi performance.
-
Excellent performance and range
-
that shows in the spectacular performance of this series of wireless routers -
-
The wifi coverage is excellent and performance is superb
-
Based on the dismal performance of past Cisco/Linksys routers recently, the EA4500 is a definite improvement.
-
I expected better range and better performance with the Linksys ae4500.
-
Excellent performance with an easy interface.
-
After watching a show (Tech TV), I got an EA4500 for my home network to replace one that came with cable provider, with multiple devices connected to it - provides great WiFi performance
-
Frustrated with this poor range and performance, I switched to the Netgear WNDR4500, and
-
I returned this router due it's absolute HORRIBLE 5GHz wireless performance.
-
Superior performance and great local and online administering.
-
While I get good wireless performance in most places, I am having compatibility issues with my Nexus 4.
-
This way, I'm not saturating the channel with all of my devices and it improves the overall performance of my wireless connection
-
Over the year I've had it, it's had progressively worse performance and finally stopped working completely just after the 1 year warranty expired.
-
The EA4500 is no exception - good performance, as to be expected from a Cisco/Linksys product, but it doesn't support Mountain Lion - and so far, no word on if or when it will be supported
-
I am expecting this model can provide stronger signal, better performance, and longer range for me
-
So when I returned it and bought the EA4500 instead, I expected a much better range and performance.
-
Excellent performance; speedy, quiet, and overall great piece of equipment.
-
Performance on 5GHz is terrific in the crowded WiFi environment of an apartment building while simultaneous use of 2.4GHz is only acceptable to good with all the interference
-
Bottom line: performance/range very marginal.
-
ProsStable, good wireless performance, easy configuration, many features
-
For a $180 device I expected an easier set up, consistent performance and really "knock my socks off" performance
-
I'm happy with it and the performance is great...
-
A model upgrade will not just improve your router but also the total performance and effectiveness of your network.2
-
Very satisfied with the excellent performance of this dual band wireless router
-
The performance of this router blows away the Cisco EA4500.
-
And as I moved more than one room away, the performance dropped dramatically as well.
-
Range on 5Ghz N did not improve as much as I had hoped, but performance on 2.4 Ghz band is better.
-
Looks good, easy to operate and amazing performance.
-
The performance of this router is excellent.
-
Love the performance, the design, and the setup.
-
On my laptop, the performance on 2.4 was SLOWER than with the
-
Very strong performance, just a real pain in the butt to work with for some devices.
-
As we were looking to upgrade our wireless equipment, we considered several manufacturers, but had previously had such great experience with Cisco/linksys that we finally settled on this top-end product, hoping to get not only great performance now, but excellent longevity from the unit, as wireless & network demands & parameters change
-
Much better coverage than my Cisco E-4200 I replaced.
-
Customer service is HORRIBLE, yes, H O R

If you do not have an internet connection your menu items are severely limited as you are not accessing your router through Ciscos servers.3- PLEASE
-
Works as it should and was a snap to set up.
-
cuz the damn thing just won't reset/restart properly and get back to work as it's supposed to!I'd always had Cisco network devices, but it's all been downhill since I purchased the EA4500
-
My objectives are simple... to be able to access email anywhere in the house as well as on the outside decks/swimming pool area... but forget that
-
Upgraded as we had many wireless devices plus a streaming ROKU player.
-
Their suggestions were inane and lead me to believe that a key selling point may not actually work as
-
I'm not a computer guru by any means but this router works as well as
-
Cisco's CloudConnect online configuration utility is pretty slick; and I like the ability to access the router and manipulate settings remotely via the available iPhone app as well as from any computer anywhere via the Web.
-
After spending an hour trying to get it to work as it should, the technicians from my ISP explained that it worked fine if I plugged my computer directly into the router, otherwise the WiFi worked worse than the ancient router it was supposed to replace.
-
This is kind of embarrassing as I'm a life-long computer guy
-
I purchased it new on Amazon, but Apple told me it was actually 4 - 6 years old, NOT an N class & NOT secure
-
But it's a very easy a procedure,(c
